I have been suffering from the exact same problem for almost a year. This pure lip gloss and osea's eye & lip cream sound great. Do you know where i can buy these? |
EDS carries Osea, tlc. Here's the link to the Lip & Eye Cream:

The Pangea organic lip balm is excellent for dry lips. Unlike many lip balms it has natural ingredients which really do soothe, as opposed to petroleum etc which long term do not help the dryness at all. The Pangea always heals my lips within 24 hours.
The other thing that helps is emu oil. I put this on my daughter's chapped dry lips and by morning they were completely healed. |

I wouldn't immediately assume it's a fungus...dry lips could indicate all kinds of things, from not enough water to a vitamin deficiency (as some already have pointed out).
In terms of temporarily treating symptoms and making your lips more comfortable: I've always relied on Carmex to exfoliate really dead dry surface skin/flakes so that other products could penetrate and heal the skin beneath. I've found that manual exfoliation tends to make things worse by creating more flakes, but maybe that's just me. Anyway, I only use Carmex until all the flakes are gone, then I switch to pure Vitamin E oil topped with a layer of Aquaphor to 'seal' it in. I wear this combo at night and usually find my dry, cracked (to the point of occasionally bleeding) lips to be soft and smooth after about three days. |

I like Carmex too. But I notice that it contains PHENOL. I believe phenol has been linked to cancer. It was widely used as a disinfectant in hospitals in the past but not anymore because of that. The UK version of Carmex doesn't contain phenol. |

My very favorite product for dry lips - and lots of other things - is Egyptian Magic. I literally don't go anywhere without it. I bought mine at Whole Foods, but you can look them up on-line. This stuff is great for just about everything. |
