hi all ... researching this topic on the internet is a little tough so i thought i'd put the question out there ... has anyone had the flu lately that seemed out of the ordinary? let me explain a bit more - my boyfriend's violently sick (but too stubborn to go to the doctor). Normally i would think this is just some sort of 24 hour flu (except it's been 2 days), but the weird thing is, about 6-8 months ago, he caught what seems like this exact same thing (it only lasted 2 days back then) and in the 8 years we've been together, he's never been sick like this, not in the same year.
anyone else have a similar experience? |

hm,. do you think it could be food posioning? sometimes you can get very sick from that and it can last a few days. Make sure he doesn't get dehydrated if he can't keep liquids down you will need to take him to see a doctor. |

I have heard of some thing like that going around. You get violently sick but its over in 1-2 days.
Food poisoning is also a thought.
Honestly if he would go the emergency room or walk in clinic they can give him IV meds that will make him start to feel better rather quick. Why suffer when you dont have to. |

thanks for the thoughts ... he's still a little sick ... but i found out his sister, her husband and their little kid are all super sick like this too, so leads me to believe something's going round! i can't say whether it's contagious or not since i haven't caught it - but then again, i could be immune! |
