I love Burt's Bees' lip balm, but have been unable to find any of them with sunscreen. Has anyone else been able to fin BB lip balm with sunscreen added? Thanks, ladies! |

blistex herbal answer really has been the answer to lifelong cracked, peeling chapped lips.
i bought it in July and since i have started using it regularly, i have not had cracking, chapping or peeling even once...which i still can't believe because i've had this problem since childhood. I was convinced that nothing could help me but this simple cheap little product has given me moist pink healed lips for the first time in my life. I will never use anything else... why bother when i already have the best? |

Where do you get this epicuren lip balm? I've never heard of it! Sounds like a good product though, as it's got the SPF in it. What is the SPF number, do you know? Thanks. |

For moisturizing I like Bonne Bell Lip Smackers and Benefit Silky Lip Balm.
For gloss, I like Lancome Juicy Tubes Pops! |

For me it's Neutrogena's Instant Lip Remedy. It's not really a lip balm though, it doesn't leave that waxy film on your lips. It soaks right into your lips where they need it most. It's almost like lotion for the lips. |

I've been using Blistex for awhile. I have full lips and now that winter is coming, I tend to get really dry lips. Blistex works for me. |

Aquaphor at night and early in the morning. I use Carmex when my lips get super chapped and dry. Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer SPF 15 is my "day" balm, or Prada Shielding Balms, if I'm not wearing a colored lippie on top.
I also really like Neutrogena Passionfruit Boosting Balm for more of a glossy tint. It is very much like the Fresh Gloss Absolutes, but a bit thicker and with a fruity/tart scent and taste (that I personally find delish). |

I've been using Blistex Lip Medex, the blue tub, for over seven years religiously. I keep a few around the house, and carry another with me. It's $1.99 typically, $.99 if it's on sale. I can't get it at Rite-Aid, but I can get it at Walgreens here in San Francisco. I like the minty tingle of the Blistex.
The ingredients are camphor 1%, menthol 1%, petrolatum 59.14%, phenol .54%, beeswax, benztl alcohol, diisopropyl adipate, flavors, frangrances, lanolin, menthoxypropanediol, microcrysttalline wax, myristyl myristate, rincus communis (castor) seed oil, saccahrin, theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter. My friend uses Vaseline. She literally carries a big jar of vaseline in her purse which is just petroleum jelly. |

I was recently selected as a tester for Alpha Skincare Alkanet Root Lip Balm.
I didn't like the smell at first...definitely smelt like chamomile, but after the initial removing the cap...the smell became faint. When I put this balm on, it was definitely soaking into my lips. I haven't stopped using it...very smooth texture & has helped my dry lips.
I like it much better than my Murad lip treatment. I ordered the rest of ASC lip balms. lol
Carmex is my second choice. |

I am absolutely addicted to Fresh's Sugar Lip Treatment. I'm on my 2nd tube of it. It is SOOO moisturizing and has a faint lemony sweet taste to it, makes your lips look satiny and soft and feels amazing. |

I'm really into the Dr. Hauschka lip balm tub that I actually first discovered as a freebie with an EDS order. I love the texture and smell, and it's not too gummy or oily but it's still very moisturizing. Another yummy one is Australian company miessence's "jaffa" lip balm, the texture can be grainy coming out of the tube but it softens and melts on your lips and the scent is like a creamsicle (orange and vanilla) - mmm!
One caveat I have for all you lip balm lovers is that most balms use chemical rather than physical sunscreens, which can be skin irritants and which have been shown to be harmful in many instances. So if you're picky about chemicals, make sure to find ones that use titanium dioxide or zinc oxide as their sun protection ingredients. Happy de-chapping, everyone! |

My favorite is Labello. I bought the entire line:
Labello Classic Regular (which is the same as Nivea Lipbalm since they were bought by Biersdorf). I also like the tinted Labello cherry lip balm. Labello caregloss and shine is like wearing color lipstick, but it's glossy and so soft on the lips!
Have a good day ladies!

I just discovered a new lipbalm the other day--Chicken Poop.
It contains soybean oil, beeswax, jojoba oil and lavender and sweet orange essential oils (no chicken poop, of course). It has a nice, smooth, slick texture (slicker than my HG Prada balms, but still not greasy or bad) and the most heavenly scent. It leaves my lips feeling really silky-smooth. Plus, it's super-cheap and available at most drugstores. |

Never heard of it -- where are you located? Could it be you've found a product that can't be gotten in America, instead of the other way around?! I thought I was familar with every 'drugstore' lip balm brand available.... |

Got my Prada lip balm yesterday and tried it last night. I was impressed because it stayed on through drinks and snacks.
I've gone through a zillion Burt's Bees but it doesn't last beyond an hour or two on me. I also love Lanisoh Cream (Nipple Cream) - it's gives a matter shine, long lasting and isn't as sticky as others.
But gotta say that the Prada lasted the longest. I'm going to see how it does over the weekend. |

Pbi: I have read on another site that you can find this lipbalm at Walgreens. I got mine from lipmedic a while ago and it is pretty nice but I don't particularly like the scent.

I've seen it at Walgreens, but never tried it. Sorry, I grew up on a farm and we raised chickens and it just doesn't sound like something I want to put on my lips! The packaging that the tubes are in is cute, though, I admit.
Lately I've been using Candessence Lip Balm. The very first time I put it on I remember thinking "OoOOOOohh!!!" because it felt just like butter melting onto my lips. Yes, it still feels like that a couple weeks later, but at first it shocked me! The Candessence balm is very smooth, and when you first put it on it's got a great velvety shine to it. I love how it looks when I first put it on! Haven't had crazy chapped lip problems since using it either, which I actually expected since we've had a quick switch into cold weather here from 80 degree temperatures. I like knowing that what I'm using was made with good-for-me stuff and not gobs of chemicals, too. It makes me want to slather it on more! |
