I like NYR products, In Canada, we can only buy it online. I never tried the lip care from it, but I like the toner of NYR |

I have always just used regular Vaseline for my severely chapped lips. I finally tried something different because my lips peel every day and they are all red and dry and cracking, even though I would apply Vaseline every 15 minutes or so. It's so gross. I bought LipVitamins at Walmart. It's a little bit better than the Vaseline. I still peel, but it's every other day instead of every day. |

la mer lip balm tastes nice, not too strongly minty and keeps my super dry lips soft for some hrs.
only thing that really added some volume (applyed over night)was agent provocateur titillation lip balm, comes with nipple cream.
but the best ever, can not live with out,
is not very glamorous.
bepanthen ointment,by roche from your local farmacy.
believe me there is nothing out there to beat this!! |

I use burts bee's in the tube, nothing special, it does the trick. I'd LOVE for EDS to carry Julie Hewett's camellia oil lip balms, though, and for that matter, the whole line, it is FABULOUS.

The best lip treatment for me is pure vitamin E. Nothing beats it. It helps me get throught winter. It also gives me shine like lipgloss. I've been using it for 2 years. My lips 've never been better. Very happy! |

Hmmmmmmm...this is an interesting topic.
For me, I'm lipbalm-aholic. So I've actually used many, from drugstore brands to high-end, eg, PRADA.
I changed my favourite products from time to time. But my all time favourite would be Water in Lip by Shiseido. And it's extremely cheap:) |

I love Burt's Bees' lip balm, but have been unable to find any of them with sunscreen. Has anyone else been able to fin BB lip balm with sunscreen added? Thanks, ladies! |
No, I aske donce at the store and they pointed me to a Badger barnd Lifeguard's choice or something that has a ntural sunscreen (so it does leave that whitish residue if you don't rub it in ) |

Rhonda, the owner of BFM, has done a great job capturing the colors online, although I know it's hard to choose. My favorite color of the moment is Hibiscus, which is a soft burgundy/wine and when the light hits it right, there's a soft pink to it - it's gawgeous!!! It also makes my teeth look very white - bonus! lol!
I just ordered Maybe Baby and Rosy, they look great too!
If you hit "details" on the picture, she does a really good job explaining the color.
Rhonda is a joy to deal with - super fast shipping, excellent customer service and for $6.50 a pop, I might just end up getting the whole collection!
Hope that helps! Maria |
Ooh I'll check them out. I like wine/plummy pinks cause of the effect on the teeth color. |

On some thread somewhere here I posted of my VERY dry chapped peeling sensitive lip woes, and help for it. The following were the best help and I continue to use them:
California Baby Calendula cream I used this stuff all the time at the beginning and now after showering, at bedtime, and after brushing my teeth. Excellent for excema, and other sensitive skin issues.
Badger Unscented Healing balm -a big tin of this salve lasts forever. My HG lipbalm always in my purse
ingredients: Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Castor oil, beeswax
Eucerin Aquaphor Healing ointmentGreat top seal in layer when my lips were bad. Still use it now and then. In my purse for quick dry skin cuticle relief too.
Others: neosporin and the calendula cream w/ the tiniest smidge of tea tree oil when they were really bad. (I used carmex too, but I think it hurt more. I used a lip balm with sweet almond oil but I think it, or some other ingredient in it,also made it worse in the long run) Vitamin E oil was good, but I think since E is good for scars it might have slowed the healing of my peeled lips since I needed to make a solid layer first.
Oddly, the only color I could use when I first started using color again was Victoria's Secret Lip gloss in the little round jar. Now they've changed their makeup line and I'm very disappointed that I can't find it. The gloss now marked as "Very Sexy "Lip gloss in the mirrored compact is not as creamy |

The ONLY lip balm I can use due to allergic reaction is the Vaseline Intensive Therapy regular flavor (blue cap). All others give me allergy (swollen and dried out lips). |

^^^ if you have sensitive cracking lips watch out for peppermint in some balms which can make it worse, even natural ones like burt's bees. When my lips were worse I found the Badger salve in the tin, right next to the burt's bees when I was looking for something without peppermint. Also watch out for some toothpastes, especially the stronger tartar control ones. This is what might have triggered my lip problem back a yr. ago when I first visited the sight lloking for cures. |

My alltime favorite lip treatment is Qtica. It's in a tube and is the only thing that truly moisturizes my lips. I try other products and always go back to that one. It's on the pricey side and is about $15 but it lasts a long time. |

I have been using blistex medicated lip ointment for years. It is cheap and works on me. Someone told me that I should not use medicated products daily, but whenever I stop using it, my lip got problem. So any comments? |

with the price, it is so worth it. I used in in both winter and summer, still loving it.
Anyway, Iim not so picky on lip balm though |

I used to use somthing like chapstick, I feel like it will be even drier if I forgot to put it on, so I have to keep using in all the time, it seems going to the bad cycle. But with burt's bee, I used in only once or twice a day, no need to apply it all the time |

I'm a lip balm junkie, but Kiehls #1 is my standby. I also like Qtica, Chicken Poop, and Burt's Bees Honey balm, but for some reason, Kiehl's is the only one that reliably softens my lips when they get seriously chapped. |

Since I am under my Accutane treatment right now, only Vaseline can combat the dryness the medication caused. Before that, I found Kiehl's is the best.
After reading a lot of acne products reviews, I feel regret starting the Accutane treatment, I should try other methods before then. |

La Mer Lip Balm - taste a little sweet and smooth texture. Enjoyable! Better than Nuxe honey lip balm. |
