If you've had these dark circles for a while, I'm sorry to say, but they're probably here to stay:( The reasons may be that you have developed allergies (a.k.a. "allergy shiners"), you may have these hereditarily, or very thin skin under the eyes. I too have always had dark cirlces, so I can relate to your woes. Good concealer has been a great help ALL MY LIFE!

There aren't a lot of products that can remove dark circles, though some can brighten the eye area. Cellcosmet's Eye Contour Creme is one. As for a good concealer, try Jane Iredale's Circle Delete.

I don't know about surgical ways to correct dark circles, though I'm sure they're pricey and painful. Check with your doctor, or get a referral to see a plastic surgeon. In the meantime, try the route I have suggested. Also, try to avoid eye make-up with purple or brown tones; these tend to make the eyes look more tired & enhance the darkness under the eyes. Stick with light shadows, and play up your lips instead!

I know for a fact that A LOT of men wear concealer! Really. Men are just as concerned with their appearances, and more & more men are buying cosmetics. The cosmetic industry for men continues to grow, and some companies will actually repackage an identical "womens" product in a more masculine package, so that men will feel comfortable buying. Example: Estee Lauder owns the Aramis line of skincare & cosmetics for men. Similar products, though different packaging!

Jane Iredale is "unisex" as is Dermalogica's Total Eye Care. Two great ideas.

As for the cucumber question: these will refresh the eyes and perhaps lessen puffiness. They will not, however, reduce your dark circles.
