Hi
I had a course of Omnilux Revive Red Light Therapy at a salon about six months ago which was fabulous for skin rejuvenation. However, I was wondering if anyone else had done that and then gone on to try one of the home use red light units such as lightstim? As it is much cheaper to buy a home use unit I was wondering if the results were similar to the effect of a course of Omnilux or whether the salon treatment is 'stronger' somehow?

Many people here use the home LED units and are very happy. I know some use the ProLight, Quasar, and the Lightstim. There are several threads in the SkinCare Tools forum that should be helpful.
I had a one time experience with the Gentle Waves light and I found it fascinating. I' like to hear more about your experience. What results did you see and how many treatments did you have.

Hi Bluesheart
The results were fab- my sun spots faded, skin looked plump, glowing and firm. Several people told me how good my skin was looking. You can see why I'm so keen to find a cheaper alternative!

How many treatments did you have? And did he results carry over? |

I had six treatments, each two weeks apart. Results lasted quite a few months, but have faded away now. Therapist suggested doing one a month for maintenence or another course after six months, and if money was no object I certainly would be doing that right now! But the treatment is expensive when compared with the home devices, which is why I looking for alternatives! It cost £70 (140USD) a treatment, which starts to get expensive!

| I just got my Omnilux New-U in the mail yesterday (it is a small hand held red-infrared device that I purchased from Spalook). I haven't had the Omnilux red light treatment in a spa (just Gentle Waves) so I don't know how my hand held device compares to a spa treatment. I will post more after I use it. |

i had a course of omnilux revive recently and also thought it gave great results
i have ordered a prolight platinum so will let you know how it compares |
