People actually buy such a thing? Rolling Eyes Let me assure you that nothing taken internally will lighten nor bleach your skin! NOTHING, so please do not waste your money!

If anything, you may look a little bit more pale due to nausea caused by stomach upset. I don't think that this is the effect that you're trying to achieve, is it? (didn't think-so!) If you're to ingest anything, make it nutritious food, and perhaps a supplement with collagen-building vitamin-C. A good one would be Murad's ES Pomphenol Super Antioxidant. http://www.essentialdayspa.com/murad_internal_supplements.htm Using a supplement with Vitamin C will help boost the body's repairative and protective functions.

To help brighten skin and prevent melasma: Skinceuticals/Primacy C+E Serum, Phyto+, and Ultimate UV Defense SPF 30.

I don't mean to sound harsh, rude, or condescending, but it ceases to amaze or shock me when I read that people take advertising claims as being valid. In actuality, the "whitening pills" that are probably selling (lemme guess: in Asia, right?) are nothing more than a vitamin. There are no ingredients or systemic products that can break-up melasma or whiten skin. Sorry, but it's the truth. If you believe the claims of these manufacturers, you are wasting your money, and supporting an industry which bases it's business on false claims and lies.

P.S. Would you believe that I actually received an e-mail (last week), asking me, "How can I bleach my skin to the colour of an albino's?" Think I kid you not! And, yes, I was honest in my response, stating that No. 1, "This isn't possible." and No. 2, "Why on Earth would you want to do this??" Brick wall Perhaps the questions should have been, "Can I help you find a good therapist or psychiatrist, who will counsel you on your obvious issues? I've heard that the drug Paxil is good for people with obsessive compulsive disorder." Eh?

Awwwww CM I'm so glad you responded!!! When will people learn that you can't change your skin colour????? (permenantly that is...I mean you can tan obviously and you can sunblock it, but you can't change the basic colour right?)
