Help with blisters

I got blisters on the bottoms of my feet today from wearing uncomfortable shoes...Does anyone have any ideas on how to treat them or make them go away faster? They are about an inch in diameter and though I can't see them, I can feel the liquid moving in them when I step. Thanks!!

This the the way I treat blisters to help them heal quicker - be warned it's a little disgusting!

If you have the stomach for it you can pierce the blister with a sterilized needle. All the fluid will then be free to come out so make sure you have tissues ready! Then treat the wound with some betadine (antiseptic iodine solution) and cover.

The blisters will eventually break on their own anyway, but this speeds the process up a bit. HTH!

I would do the same. Put a steril needle in them and release the liquid. I would then clean with rubbling alcohol and wrap with band aids after coating with Neosporin. After a day or so, leave them uncovered at night while you sleep. But make sure you keep them covered if you are wearing shoes that could cause more dirt to get in them. The "new" skin under the blister will eventually get "tough" in about a week or so.
