Lately my skin has been an absolute disaster! I have been using plain old Olay products that were working fine but with the warmer weather and other factors (hormonal changes/new bangs) my skin has been breaking out like crazy Soooo I have decided to go back to using Dermalogica and have been using it for about a week now and my skin is WORSE than ever Am I just going through a major purge and then my skin is going to clear up? I have large cystic pimples popping up daily, I feel like a teenager

It is really hard for me to tell you whether you are going through the "purge" or not, but two things are possible. One, being your skin is still behaving badly from the Olay products, or two your skin needs to get accustom to the Dermalogica again. That does not mean you are purging though. But keep in mind, that I heard that you can not gauge products until you have given it 21 days. That is the skin turn around time. Either these two things, or your are experiencing hormonal and this is really hard to treat. I know for me, when my skin turned hormonal, about 6-8 months ago...I had a dramatic difference in my skin. Careful for what you wish for right? I would have some breakouts here and there.....etc...now, although I have gotten my skin to a condition that I understand (more moisturizer, less...some oils, not)...My skin by far now is more temperamental, than before I started the hormonal thing.....My suggestion, try something gentle....to get your skin back in balance...then maybe graduate up to using the dermalogica again. |

i've heard that once your skin breaks out, it will get worse before they get better. keep using the dermalogica products. it sounds to me that its not a reaction to dermalogica products themselves and more of your skin "getting worse"...before the effects of the dermalogica skincare comes into effect. |
