With products increasingly being made in serum form, I'm finding I have more than one to put on even splitting them up AM and PM.
I've been doing any vit. C first, like CE Ferulic and then after certain time putting whatever sample I'm trying like lancaster 365 on top even though both should be applied on fresh cleansed skin.
Anyone else have this delimma? Opinions? |

I don't like to layer products at all. If I want to use something, I generally just pick 1 or 2 items to use and just use that. You could try using your 2 serums on alternating days. |

Thank you for your answer. I am worried about absorption. Some say thinnest to thickest. It seems like everyone is making a serum now! |

babymax, you could do your C serum in the morning, and apply your lancaster serum in the evening? You are doing it right though with your C first, and then the lancaster serum following that. |

General rule with serums is to apply the most acidic first (usually vit. C) and thinnest to thickest. If you're using a good vit. C serum (skinceuticals, skinmedica, vivier), then I think you might only need to apply alternate days. I read somewhere that vit. C can stay in the skin for up to 3 days. You certainly don't need to use vit. C more than once a day. It's best used in the AM under your sunscreen. You can use the Lancaster serum PM. |

I try to avoid layering serums. I use vitamin C serum and believe it works best on its own. In my opinion, skin can get irritated and "confused" if too many actives are applied on the same time. Still, I would like to use a moisturizer with antioxidants on top of the vitamin C serum. |
