Hello all-
I want to get a new skincare line. I have sensitive acne prone oily skin. most my breakouts are hormonal and I get cysts during that time of the month or extreme stress. I am very fair with red blotchys areas (come and go) I have rather large pores. I have been reading a lot about karin herzog and eminence and they all look so wonderful. Anyone have suggestions????
thanks

Hi violet23,
I suggest you purchase the Karin Herzog professional cleanser and ask for samples of some of the other KH products you're interested in. Perhaps the Oxygen Face for you. |

302 is also great for acne prone skin. |

My skin is very sensitive and prone to breaking out big time. I use Mastey Moiste Facial Moisturizer twice a day which has made a huge difference on my skin. I also use Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair sometimes. |

I concur with Bethany. The 302 line might be good for you. |

Oh boy, I have the same skin type like yours. I find that I can't just use any product. Dr.Hauschka is a great line for sensitive acne prone skin. But it can be pricey. It is all natural and effective. I'm using the cream cleanser and daily moisturizer. My skin feels great.
Now, I was going through the threads, and I read that Dr.Hauschka's CC should be used with another cleanser. You could use his cleansing milk. The CC is like an extremely gentle exfoliant so I can see how it could be used after cleansing.
I just ordered PSF castile cleanser and the R&R toner. Hopefully, I'll report on the effectiveness of them soon. I also want to try Dr.Hauschka's clarifying toner and mask. But that has to wait for another time. |

I have similar skin type, also fair complexion with redness at the sides of my nose. I found my sensitive, reactive skin tolerates very few natural extracts (even chamomile, aloe and witch hazel are too harsh), so Dr.Hauschka broke me out.
Also AHA products are not recommended for reactive skin. I can use BHA and azelaic acid with no irritation.
Thermal water is great for calming down the skin, so I can recommend Avene and La Roche Posay brands. They both include thermal water in almost every product in their sensitive, acne-prone skin lines.
Of course be sure to wear sunscreen with decent PPD every day, it's even more important for us with fair skin. |
