I am considering changing my skin care regime. I am looking at Obaji or 302, has anyone used both of these? Which one do you prefer?

What are your skin care issues or concerns? Obagi is great for hyperpigmentation, but it is a strong system and you have to be willing to do the entire routine and go through the peely phase, etc, for 18 weeks. You also will have to maintain your results by using the products a few times a week after 18 weeks.

I have used two products from the 302 skin care line: Eye Firming Serum and Recovery Plus. At first I really liked them but as time went on they became too drying for my skin. I have dry/sensitive skin issues and these products just were not hydrating enough for me. However, there seems to be quite a few people who are having great results with the line. It's just not the right one for me.

I have used both lines and agree with rileygirl that Obagi is great for hyperpigmentation but is very strong and you have to be committed to completing the initial course and then going on maintenance. Sunscreen is really vital with Obagi; if you get lax with it at all you can undo all your progress and actually make your hyperpigmentation worse than before you started. It helped me with fine lines and skin texture as well but left me looking a little "off", unnatural, and overly pale. My freckles have returned since I quit Obagi but since I have always had freckles since childhood they don't really bother me.

I am a current user of 302 and love it. It has helped me recover from all the stress I put my skin through (including Obagi, glycolic peels, and TCA peels). I'm not sure if my great results with 302 are partially due to the bad shape my skin was in to start with because of overly strong product usage but I am really happy with how my skin looks now versus feeling like my skin looked thin and weak while I was on Obagi.

You will find many people who love Obagi and I cannot argue that it is definitely an effective product line. I just found it was too much for my skin and am happy to have found 302.

By the way, for Obagi I used the normal/oily kit and for 302 I use the face/body bar, oily/combo cleanser, 302 drops, A-Boost, and C-Boost.
