I'm confused as to what would be best to use.. I have normal/dry somewhat sensitive skin, need to prevent/get a grip on wrinkles, sagging (I lost weight, but now am dealing with some sagginess under the chin) & some hyperpigmentation.
Although strong acids do not seem to be for me (HA didn't do anything, CP's are too tough) I bought Dr. Denese's Facial Firming Pads. They apparently are drenched in glycolic acid and am wondering if this acid is harsh or requires a more oily skin for positive results? Thanks!

I am a regular user of the firming pads and I enjoy them. I have combination skin with oily t-zone and sensitive skin on the cheeks. I only use half pad at a time and find that more than enough for the whole face and only do it once a week. I can feel the tingling sensation every time I use it but I never had any adverse reaction to it. I believe you as long as you start slow and never overdo it, you should be fine.

Well ahihi, when I used Dr. D facial pads my skin was red for days; than I found out later HER ingreds were irritating to the skin. So much for that. Glycolic acid is good for skin if you get it at a level that works for skin. I get very good results with Paulas Choice 8% AHA gel without the redness.

I used half a pad last night - just as you mentioned that you do iamimei.. Wow - that glycolic pad hurt!! The stinging did go away though - and, surprisingly, no redness. Not sure that I will use them too often though - lots of mixed reviews about glycolic acid. But then again, there seems to be mixed reviews on everything, making it really hard to decide how to develop a simple and effective regimen.
It took me a few weeks to get used to my Clarisonic - it seemed too scratchy at first, now I use it every other day. Maybe the Clarisonic, a gentle cleanser, and the perfect moisturizer (haven't found that yet) are all I need to exfoliate and turn the cells over?
