Judy, I recently purchased some lotion and lip balm made with emu oil and I love both products. I like the tube of balm better than the little pot. Its very inexpensive. Here's the link:

Nanapost I am so happy that you like Homemade Suds Products. I hate to tell people about something and have them unhappy. I have never tried her lipbalm but love her lotions and pure Emu oil.

I'm telling ya try city lips. It doesn't plump them up weird or anything and it makes your lips very smooth. But if you don't want to take a chance on it, you could try Rosebud salve. It has been around for ages. You can also get that at Sephoras. I think it's only $7.00. Maybe I should just send you some City Lips, that's how much I think you would like it. |

Judy, have you tried carmex? Old product but it is amazing...really moisturising and it exfoliates gently. When the brats haven't made off with my pot, my lips are always super soft! (why is there no kissey smiley?) |
Years ago, I used to use Carmex when I was getting a fever blister. Don't get them anymore.... probably because I don't lie out in the sun and bake anymore.
Thanks for the tip! I'll pick some up next time I'm at the pharmacy.

Thanks for that link; Winnie mentioned it to me also. I want to the site and I really like the looks of it! Think I will try some things from her site.

Also, on the lip plumping products, is there one that will just sort of smooth out the lines at the top of the lip, but not plump all the lip? |
Judy - try the Lamas Lip Enhancer. It not only moisturizes, but (with continued use) it helps to smooth out the lines on the surface of your lips. I put on the LE after I've applied the Swellips (that homemade Ebay stuff -- I had to order my own tube b/c my mom wouldn't share!!) and massaged it in. Although Lamas' claims that the Lip Enhancer will help plump your lips, I didn't experience that at all and I know another member (Sunshine) reports the same experience with the LE.
To answer Anya and Nanapost's questions from last week, yes, we're still using the Swellips and yes, we still like it! I don't know if it's because my mom was using the CityLips twice a day before she tried the Swellips, but it seems like she's achieving maximum results even faster than usual (i.e.: she massages in the Swellips before bed and when she wakes up, her lips are still pretty full...according to the documentation that the Swellips lady sends with the product, that isn't supposed to happen until about 30 days of continued use).
Don't forget to keep us appraised of your results once you start using Swellips!

I'll try that. Did you also get the LE at Whole Foods? I'd really rather find it than order and pay for shipping.

Yep, I got it at Whole Foods...I know you said you normally shop at Sun Harvest so I'd be happy to pick up a tube of the LE for you the next time I'm at Whole Foods and mail it to you (postage would be less than $1) -- just PM me if you want to go that route.....

I just had to share this, I received my order from Skinn cosmetics (shopathometv) the lip kit yes they are real and i'm looking up the ingredients on the net and it has the exact same ingredients as penis enlargement cream. It rushes blood to the lips, hey i got pouty lips and well moisturized and there are some neat things in the kit a mask, 2 lip stains that are great and 2 glosses and a lip filler for the lines. its 49.95 but the penis cream was 60.00 for 1 oz and you get 1/2 oz and all the other goodies in the kit. So now i'm thinking this wasn't such a bad buy.

I got my shipment of Swellips last week and at the same time I bought Pump Your Pucker lip glosses. Swellips definitely works, but its a pain in the a**e having to massage it in for 5 mins 3 times a day, and to be honest, I've only been doing it at night while I watch TV I do wake up each morning with amazingly full lips, but somehow they deflate during the day. PYP is a sheer lip gloss which requires multiple applications during the day to keep that wet 'n full look.
Dian, Skinn was my first lip plumper purchase, also from the shopping channel, and I really liked it I'm looking forward to Carrie's further research into those pills she got, but in the meantime, so far - all results are temporary

I have acess to all of the lip products, L.A. lips, city and dream lips, that soy one and du wop lip venom they all work temporarly but it just struck me as funny that skinn would be the same thing as something a man would use, by the way the man cream that is identical is 29.00 for 1 oz instead of paying the 49.99 for the kit next time because the lip mask is just bentodine and kalon clays with some red pepper in it and the lip products are from starry and they are fairly cheap on the market. I do a lot of testing and pretty much your best deal is Carmex at less than a dollar a tube. My friend is a plastic surgeon and gets samples from most of the companies and I get to test them, we were thinking the skinn might be something different and it was. |

FYI - I also bought a “Plump Your Pucker” gloss from Sephora back when I got the CityLips kit with five mini-tubes of the colored gloss and a mini of the clear night treatment. I have to say that I wasn’t overly impressed with the PYP – I didn’t get ANY plumping benefits like the ones Winnie reported and think it’s only average as a plain lip gloss. At the same time, I bought the Sephora-brand version of PYP called ‘Sephora Plumping Effect - plumping lip gloss.’ I got it in the color 03-Rose, and it’s just gorgeous – a peachy pink with a subtle gold shimmer. I like it way more than the actual PYP, and I think it was only half the price!
Hey, who else was it that bought the Swellips, Anya and someone else...? I want to know if anyone else is seeing any results with it? I agree, Anya – it’s a pain in the gluts to massage it, although I must say that it certainly feels good and relaxing when you’re doing it! I apply it in the morning and massage it on my lips during my 50-minute commute and then again at night while I’m watching TV, then just before bed I slick on a layer of CityLips then “seal” it with a thin layer of Aquaphor and when I wake up in the morning, my lips still feel slick and moist .
You know, just because I’m seeing such great results following the introduction of the hyaluronic acid capsules (taken orally) to my lip plumping “regimen,” it doesn’t mean I’m not going to keep looking for something even MORE miraculous to come along (speaking of which, hey Judy – how goes the search for an accupuncturist?! Were you able to ask your friend if his accupuncturist could actually plump lips??)!
Therefore, I’d like to hear more about this lip kit from Skinn cosmetics....Anya – did it work for you? Dian – how long does the plumping effect last? Does your plastic surgeon friend have any recommendations for products that will help s-m-o-o-t-h out the lines on lips (note: I'm not referring to the dreaded wrinkles above the lips!)? Right now I’m using (and loving!) Lamas Lip Enhancer, but I’ve always got one eye out for something new to try! BTW - has anyone used the SkinCeuticals Antioxidant Lip Repair? What does it do, if anything?
All right, I’ve rambled long enough – time to give someone else a chance to get a word in edgewise!!

In answer to Carrie's question about the search for an accupuncturist, I did post in the skincare forum I believe and the subject is Accupuncture Facelift. Let me know if you can't find it.
I didn't find an accupuncturist, but this came from Cosmetic Cop and it gave prices so that sort of stopped my search.... or at least slowed it. I believe it was $1,000 to $1500 for 10 treatments. Now, that's quite a bit cheaper and less invasive than surgery, but I also looked at before and after pictures from a Florida accupuncturist and I really wasn't impressed at all.
It did help with lines, but the lift was minimal, not worth $1,000 in my books.
Now, as to accupuncture for lip plumping.... If I needed lip plumping, and I don't due to Nufill, I would probably try the accupuncture. I believe in chi energy and it's relation to blood flow and I can see how that could work for plumping. And, just for the lips, naturally it would be less expensive.

tracylynn,
I bought Dream Lips at my local CVS a few months back. I returned it after a few weeks. Did absolutely nothing. In fact, it dried out my lips. I am now using Sothys Lip Enhancers which is a keeper for me. My lips are almost line free. I also use Plump lip gloss. Someone else posted on Plump and didn't like it. I think the Sothy's is what is conditioning and nourishing my lips and the Plump makes them look full and moist. |

Winnie...I've been eyeballing your review of the Sothys lip stuff and you've just about convinced me to buy it for my lip lines. To paraphrase the old ZZ Top song, "...(I) just got paid today, got me a pocket full of change..." I promised myself only one special treat for myself this month since I've got Xmas presents to buy, and I'm pretty sure the Sothys is going to be it!
But just to clarify: the Sothys has helped to make the surface of your lips smooth and line-free, right? Your not talking about the feather lines above your lips? Smooth, line-free lips (aka: "pillow lips") is exactly what I'm looking for to really set off my new-and-improved plump kisser (courtesy of the religious use of Swellips and those HA capsules I've been taking orally!!).

Carrie,
Sothy's has without a doubt made the lips themselves smoother, very soft and 50% of the lines are gone on the lips themselves. The little lines above the lips are much better but I believe that has a lot to due with AlphaDerma.
In my review for Sothy's I said that it took at least two weeks for me to see great results. Now, it is a keeper as far as I am concerned. I am also going to get the HA supplements like you. |

something that i've recently tried is too faced injection mask- its a pink mask that smells like some type of berry, and its just like a facial mask! of course it includes the usual stinging and whatnot but after you leave the mask on for 3-5 minutes and wipe it off with a washcloth you can see results [especially if you apply lip liner/ lipstick / lipgloss] The lips feel a bit tingly after the mask is wiped off but for me the puffiness didnt go down for a couple of hours.
Im also trying that lip injection extreme from too faced- it claims to plump your lips long term:) anybody else try? |

I have used it. I brought it back and got another regular sized Lip Injection instead. I didn't notice anything "extreme" about it. |

Honestly I haven't had any luck at all with any of the lip plumpers so far....& I have tried quite a few in recent months, but I just find most of them dry out & irritate my lips. My fav so far is the Juice Beauty Lip Plumper which doesn't actually plump my lips at all, but at least it keeps them soft & hydrated, plus it also tastes/smells |
