Hi, are they any islamic ladies on EDS?

I just saw a montage of stunning Arabic ladies and love their gorgeous skin and eyes! The makeup was dramatic yet beautiful.

Please do share your makeup and skincare tips. Which are the popular eye creams? The pictures all had heavy eye makeup, yet all of the eyes were wrinkle free! It takes amazing skin to be able to handle that amount of makeup.

Thank you Very Happy

Were these Arab ladies from the Middle East or American Arab? The reason I ask is plastic surgery is extremely popular in Arab countries. Teenagers will get nose jobs (think Nancy Ajram) and other procedures.

It might lend itself to the fantastic skin you are seeing. I'm not saying all women do it, but it is very popular over there.

I'm not arabic, but I belly dance, (just a hobby, I do have a day job and dancing isn't a source of income for me, it's just fun) so I wear the heavy eye make up when I perform. I guess the secret is to line the inner lower rim of the eye with eye liner as well as the outer rim.

Those women could have just looked like they had great skin because they were wearing heavy make up, or they really were just young, or both.

Snowstar YOU CAN do the same regardless of your nationality. They are more than likely very young women. We were all unlined at one time.

Well ethnicity does play a role in the way skin ages. I being a south asian and middle eastern mix, find that my skin does not wrinkle or age as compared to those of other origins. The same goes for my family members.

The best I can advise to staying young and fresh looking is to eat well, sleep well, exercise and drink plenty of water. What is life if we can't be healthy?

As for plastic surgery being common in Arab countries...is it as common as plastic hollywood? I don't know if you are Arab or not? However, if you aren't and do not live in an Arab country how do you know it is common? Are you saying that beauty does not exist in these countries? HEHE. Very Happy

Plus Islamic and Arab is two different things. You can be Arab Christian, Arab Muslim or Arab Jew etc. The term Arab refers to a group of people. Islam is a religion. Ya ya! Laughing

The girls in this clip has hardly any makeup (i think). Gosh, the eyes are gorgeous. I'm asian and have boring dark brown eyes.

The lady at 0.14 has the most amazing eyes i've ever ever seen.

I have a Master's Degree in Islamic Studies and Arabic Language. I've attended khutba several times, fasted on Ramadan, stuck to a halaal diet, prayed, and studied the Qur'an.

Ana '3arif 'eshyaa' katheera 3n 'essharq 'alowset.

And I think there's beauty if every country and continent. Wonder how you inferred that from my post that I was saying otherwise?

ETA: It's a fact that plastic surgery is common in many ME countries, as are other practices. If you want resources to back up my claims I will gladly do so.

And yes, you are right. Islam and Arab are two different things. So is the adjective/noun "Arabic." One is not an Arabic person, one speaks Arabic. Arab is the correct term to describe a person.

ParisTroika. It is why I mentioned that I didn't know if you were Arab or not. But now that I know the truth, I don't need any proof to be honest. I really don't care if it is common or not. Plastic surgery is practically everywhere now. I don't know how people can go through with it. Just the thought of altering my face or body scares the hell out of me. As for nose surgery, I am proud of my not so small nose. So, I must say no way to plastic surgery! Smile

No worries. I wish I was Arab. (My muslim girlfriends who were Arab would always tease me!) I love the culture, the food (yum!), it's beautiful!

Sorry I took offense...it's hard to gauge demeanor on posts. Plus I wish a little PMSy yesterday...oy!

many hugs to you!

The girls in the clip are all famous lebanese models, actresses and one of them is a singer. Most of them have done plastic surgeries. But yes arabic ladies have beautiful eyes and skin. They do not expose their skin to the sun. BTW lebanese make-up artists are the best in the world.

The mediterranean weather, food and life style is also good for the skin.

I'm from a Mediterranean country which has borders with Syria, Iraq, Iran. I'm a mix of Arab/Macedonian and I'm Muslim. But i agree that Arab women absolutely have beautiful eyes, eyebrows & skin. It's genetics, surely. For example; My mom is 60 years old .She is still beautiful and has so less wrinkles in her face. Not mention practising 5 times in a day that makes you move and keeps you in form. Also, eating and living habits are more different than other parts of the world.Although we eat a lot of meat(shush kebab, chicken shawarma, etc, yummy Smile ) we balance it with vegetables and salads + vinegar + lemon (sour).
About plastic surgery ; yes it's pretty common in ME,the biggest reason is costs are really cheaper. You can have your boobs done about $1500 - $2000. And make up - we just love it Smile I guess that's why we prefer to wear it heavy.
About skin care products ; MD Formula, La Roche, Arnuad ,Roc- some of popular products, just kinda expensive to get those.
Mostly we use natural products like ;bay tree (Daphne) soap for acne & oily skin, olive oil soap for hairs and body cleaning, rose water as toner and rose cream as moisture.

Hopefully, i helped you out a little bit Smile

Wow. She's stunning.

The most amazing eyes I've ever seen was when I was in a cafe in the Peak District. I was with my dad and his wife who saw suddenly saw someone she knew across the room from us, sipping tea from a white cup. While they were exchanging a few "how small the world is!" type comments I kept staring at this woman's eyes. I couldn't stop looking at them: they were like diamonds.
I was only about eight or nine, but I remember thinking at the time, "Her husband must think he's the luckiest man alive."

Quite sweet really. I think I must have thought she was a princess or something Laughing

I never saw the couple or the friend again, but I've never ever seen eyes like hers since. I've never forgotten them either.

*Later that day*

So, I've been looking on You Tube and found a channel by someone who specialises in eye make up tutorials. I've only watched a few of her videos but I've already picked up a few tricks.

Take a look Smile

One, two, three... four posts in a row.

I was looking through the eye make-up videos I posted about yesterday, and she has one specifically inspired by Arabian make-up.

The makeup is beautiful, but lots of those are professional photographs and they look highly airbrushed. Smile Just like any other professional photograph you see anymore. Laughing It's kind of frustrating but that's another subject.
