hi guys, i'm looking for a good sunscreen i.e one that does not cause breakouts, leave skin shiny and greasy, and leave a white cast on face. any recommendations??
i am currently using obagi healthy skin protection spf30, but this leaves a white cast on my face. i end up looking pale and ghastly .
and thats not cute. i was thinking about switching to the sunscreen by obagi Zo. anyone ever tried this? would love to hear ur views.
thanks guys. |

I guess we are suppose to encourage the search function but let me say that the shiseido has been the best Ive tried. Then again the only other sunblock Ive tried is the Obagi (didnt like, too much flakiness and burning sensation). |

I have the Obagi SPF 32. It is very thick, white, and pasty. It has over 18% Zo in it. |

I love sofina UC cut milk. It's so light and good in texture. |

I LOVE the Shiseido sunscreens, very silky in texture..but I use La Roche Posay and NCN I'm Covered, depending on how much time I'm in the sun. I think the bottom line is, there are probably many that are good and will work for you. Get the one that you're actually going to use! Which means one that has a nice texture, fragrance (or lack thereof), is easy to apply or reapply, and doesn't cause you to break out (everyone is different!). |

skincarefreak, what skin type do you have?
from what you wrote it sounds this ss will not suit combo or oily skin?? |

My skin often breaks out when I use sunscreen. I actually had good results with the Bliss Sunban SPF30. Active ingredient is titanium dioxide and nothing else. I have oily skin and it doesn't leave a white cast. I don't really care for the lemon scent but luckily it's not too strong. Originally I thought it was expensive (about $27) but the 2oz bottle last a long time. |

My vote is Keys Soap Solar Rx. All natural ingredients and 18.5% ZO. Physical ss only. No white cast and moisturizing but not greasy. $26.95 on PureBodySolutions.com |

I'm prone to breakouts and almost always get bumps with sunscreen but I've been using La Roche Posay Hydraphase SPF 30 successfully without breaking out but it still does leave a shine. |
