simran, judging by the size of the tube, it's only for spot treatment on the face. Not enough there to do anything for a whole body. I found it to be a mild lightener, at least for sun spots, used over the DNA Repair. |

makari products are good for skin lightening without a bleached effect to the skin |

Have you tried Vit-C serum on those areas. It works slow but it does lighten those areas up. |

It can be used on either the body or the face. The original Clarifying Concentrate came out in a 15ml tube but it has now been upgraded and called Clarifying Concentrate2 and is now in a larger 30ml container. If you look through the Remergent products on EDS, you will see both sizes. |

Perhaps you could try a lotion with glycolic acid in it (like AmLactin) to exfoliate the skin on your elbows, etc. If you combine this with a good sunscreen, the skin ought to get lighter. |

I've heard a lot of good things about the Peter Thomas Roth Potent Botanical skin brightening gel complex. It's made with kojic acid instead of hydroquinone. It's on my to buy list. It's always sold-out on various websites. They sell it here at EDS. |

I've tried Peter Thomas Roth Potent Botanical skin brightening gel complex. The results were zilch for me. It was ages ago and I probably had some small mark then that I wanted to rapidly get rid of. I remember being disappointed with the product.
For darker knees and elbows, use Lac Hydrin or Amlactin (same thing), manually scrub with a good body scrub, and use sunscreen religiously. It should get lighter. It just sounds like you have to exfoliate those areas to remove the buildup of dead skin cells and reveal new skin cells and lighter skin. |

I use PCA Skin Pigment Bar pHaze13. It also contains AHAs. Comes with its own scrubbing pad. |

I read that glycolic acid lightens skin, in addition to being an excellent exfoliant.
I also second londongirl's Makari recommendation. Makari is an excellent product. It's not for everyone, however, as I know that some people have experienced breakouts from it. But for those whose skin types it suits, Makari can deliver remarkable results. |
