I am highly interested in chinese medicine and I would like to find a chinese herbalist (who actually "trained" in china or korea") in the united states. please help |

It might help if you provide the city/state you live in. There are often internet only resources, but seeing someone in person is even more helpful. |

I would try going to an asian market place, we have T&T here in canada and you can either find a herbalist educated in asia there or they will tell you where you can find one. |

If you do find one, please be careful though. Sometimes they may tell you their qualification and you just might not understand what it means and it might not be that good either. |

Good thinking! Make sure they have some sort of credentials to show you. |

I see a chinese doctor on a regular basis. She has her MD in China, and is a registered nutritionist here in the US.
To be completely honest with you..Chinese herbs are quite different from western medicine. I have found them to have little or no side effects..especially if you are given the teapills VS the brew yourself medicinal tea(not the best method if you don't know what you are doing). I would do a google search for your area under Traditional Chinese Medicine. |
