How do you like it? Is it addressing whatever skin issues you were having?
On page 4 of this thread, I posted that V was reselling a red/infrared LED on eBay. It was hardly used, but he said to me in email that the user returned it because it was too much for him - the unit became *too hot*. Perhaps the red/infrared lights in particular are prone to this? It's possible to overdo it with the more mainstream LEDs as well, of course, so this is NOT intended as a slight. I believe the LED in question was also a really large panel, so I'm sure the size contributed to the amount of heat generated. |

I agree.
I like hearing about everyone's good experiences, but I want to hear ALL the feedback, not just the glowing recommendations.
If we have to walk on eggshells or worry about hurting people's feelings it defeats the whole purpose of the thread. |

my ledman leds (red/infra and yellow) get hot after a while, particularly the red. it's usually when i've moved it to the second side of the face directly after it'd already been on for five mins on the other side. |

Thanks semolina! (is it ok if I call you that? it's easier to type )
I know that V's LEDs are primarily for physical therapy purposes, and the heat generated would probably be a perk in those cases.
I personally don't think I'd mind much if it was a little hotter because my skin seems to respond well to heat-based treatments (and I find heat very relaxing), but I think I'd have to be careful about overdoing it. |

I have the AAls first and foremost which I use for pigmentation and sagginess. I have noticed some improvement but not as much as other posts but *shrugs* its easy to use and time efficient (I do it when I am reading before bed). I started to add the LED light when my son stopped using it as he went to live overseas.
I just 'lay' it on my chest as I do the AALS and it sits there for 5 minutes or so it does not get overly hot in my opinion but I wouldn't say it stays 'cool' but just not unpleasant. |

my unit does get warm, but nothing that I I wouldn't put against my skin, but then I live in WA and it's been cold outside, so the heat is very nice. |

I can agree with this statement...my green unit does get hot when it has been on about 8 mins (I am on the 2nd half of my face then), but 10 mins in total is not unbearable at all. |

I was wondering what results everyone is getting from the device? His prices seem very reasonable. |

That sounds like something I would do . Does this forum have a section to sell items you have used, but don't like or items along those lines? I know makeupalley allows you to do swaps. |

No, though I did post that I was willing to sell my seldom used green LED and my Prolight. The Prolight was snatched up quickly.
I am getting ready to list a bunch of new/unopened skin products on ebay, so maybe I'll do the LED too. |

Bethany,
Why are you selling your Prolight and green LED? Are they not working for you?

Pure laziness...I am unwilling to spend more than 5 mins holding something up to my face. The ProLight Platinum took WAY longer than that to treat your whole face, even though it only takes 60 secs per spot. (it is already sold, btw)
The LedMan green takes about 5-8 mins per side and I had it made so that I could treat one whole side of my face at a time. But I consistently fail to use it, which is why I also got rid of my 3mhz ultrasound, lol. Yet I manage to spend WAY too much time on this forum...go figure!!
I finally recognized my weaknesses (failure to invest time, sigh), I prioritized what I am willing to spend the allotted 5 mins on and Ageless won. So I am back to chemical means to reduce my pigmentation, lol. |

Anybody here using the ledman red/infrared 660/880 for skin care? Just started using it, pretty much everyday for 5 mins each side of face. Haven't noticed too much just yet but its early. |

Since these are not geared toward skin care liek the others seem to be, how do you know the appropriate amount of time to use? I'm guessing not all LED are created equal, how do you determine the correct spec's so you get the results you are looking for? |

I asked the guy who runs the site and he said 5 mins, every day is fine. I'm not sure of the specs but the one I got was the dual array 660nm/880nm led one array of 48 4000 mcd 660 Red LEDs and one array of 48 880 nm LEDs (infrared invisible). I found out about it thru an acne site where people were using it in conjunction with needling/dermarolling for scar revision. I think it has really started to work the past 2 weeks. |

This is the one that I got. I would like to use it for repair and to get that glow.
Beth, do you think that if I continually use this device for wrinkle prevention that it would give me the glow I long for? |

you know, I've been looking at his website, and I may just get the amber and red eventually. The pricepoint (compared to the others) is hard to deny, and the fact that he makes larger panels that are affordable...
I may have found my LED source.
Thank you so much, I will let ppl know when I get the unit and post results. |

Tina Bethany didn't use her LEDs for long and I think she ended up selling them. I don't think it was because they didn't work, but because she couldn't afford the time to put into using them. I think that's how it went anyway. |
