I read about this in a newspaper the other day. The "Stop" unit uses Tripollar radio frequency technology to stimulate collagen, apparently.

It costs £300+! Shock

There should be a more cost effective solution for RF gel. My understanding that the same gel is used for RF, IPL treatments and one of the purposes is to cool skin, since the outer skin layers are being heated. We should be able to find such cooling gels for the treatment at a fraction of the cost offered on the official STOP web site.

Here are the ingredients for both the gel and post treatment cream;

STOP™ Preparation Gel:
The ingredients are glycerin, Cera Alba, Carbomer, Gluconolactone, Fragrance (Parfum), Sodium Chloride, Sodium Benzoat.

- Cera Alba is simply bees wax
- Carbomer is used as an emulsifier to incorporate a solid into a liquid..(comes in powder form)
- Gluconolactone comes in powder form and is used to make some foods (tofu), and in cosmetics. I believe (not sure though), it has moisturizing and exfolliating properties when used in cosmetics. (Recommended use in cosmetics up to 10%)
- Sodium Chloride is simply table salt, minus the anti-caking agent that's added.
- Sodium Benzoat is a preservative with anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. It's commonly used as a preservative in sodas, fruit juices, vinegar or salad dressings, or anything with a PH under 3.6

I'm not sure what they charge for this gel, but it should be easy (and cheap) enough to DIY for those who dabble. At the very least, a little glycerin and kosher salt added, will give you extra mileage..

STOP™ After Treatment Cream:
The ingredients are Aqua, Cetearyl Alcohol (And) Cetearyl Clucoside, Ceteareth 2, Stearic Acid, Camillia Sinensis (Green Tea) Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Retinyl Palmitate, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ascorbic Acid, Algae Extract, Dehydroacetic Acid, Sorbic Acid, Aloe Barbadenisis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Fragrance (Parfum), Allantoin.

Hi everyone!

I'm joining in to tell you I have been using the STOP for a couple of weeks now, have done 5 treatments so far. I am very impressed with the results. I noticed after just one treatment that I looked 'better' ie fresher, smoother of face and well rested. The results have just been getting better.. I am definitely impressed by this device so far.
I'm particularly impressed with how it has smoothed out my eye area, both the under eye area and beneath the brow bone.
It has freshened up my entire face, and my neck, which was starting to look a bit crepey.
I have also used it two or three times on my hands. It isnt the most comfortable thing in the world to use it on the hands, as the backs of the hands are full of bones and no flesh pads really.. .. so it is a bit of an irritating 'bumpy' experience, but it's worth it , to me. My hands look significantly smoother from using it.
The device also gives you quite a bumpy ride across the boney forehead region... but it has smoothed out my 11's rather well, so I wont be complaining..
I use it on the 'high' setting, as I was getting nowhere fast on the lower settings.. I'd love to use it on the body but it really is pretty small .. the blurb specifically states it isnt suitable for use on breasts.. not sure why, exactly.
I find it quite a relaxing sensation, a bit like a facial massage. Quite pleasurable. But you do need to have a mirror in front of you when you do it, to keep an eye on the heat indicator light. When it switches from green to amber, you need to move onto another area of skin. It gets pretty hot. Not uncomfortably so, but unmistakably hot.
The gel is not unpleasant to use, it's easy, spreads smoothly, doesnt dry out quickly. I was a bit taken aback by how sticky and gooey it was at first but I am completely used to it now and actually like it. It helps to heat the skin.Quite enjoyable in this winter weather. ( Especially as my infra red sauna from China just went up in flames.. yikes!) And the moisturiser that they provide for aftercare is easy to use, non greasy, easily absorbed by my skin, somewhat mattifying initially, inoffensive.. I'm not sure how crucial that specific moisturiser is to the process, though. It does a nice enough job.
The whole package is presented nicely and is pretty easy to use. The nice thing is, that there is no 'downtime' as there can be with the dermaroller. My face is slightly pink after using it, but it fades very quickly, and could in any case be very easily disguised with make up if need be.I'm wondering about how the level of collagen stimulation compares to dermarolling.
My intention is to continue with the suggested regime of using it 2/3 times a week, for 6/8 weeks, and keep you posted, and also to give you a follow up of just how long the benefits seem to stick around. That will be the really interesting part.. Wink

The seller probably wondering what is going on with all these Stop orders!

My experience with Win Health customer service (Halina and Roy) has been very good. They respond to my inquiries very quickly. Yesterday evening I emailed Halina a facial fat loss with Stop question, and today morning already got a reply:

Yes - I am aware of the fat reducing effects of RF.

However, you do not have to really worry about the effects of the STOP in this way.

The STOP is designed to stimulate your collagen production and plump up your face as well as tone and firm your tissues. STOP is designed for your face and neck and it does not reduce the fat in those areas - it firms the flab and stops the gravitational sagging of wobbly tissues. This is all. You face will not lose its fat - it will appear toned and with smooth skin - as on younger persons. There are no side effects or nasty surprises!

... As with all beauty and fitness treatments - I would also recommend a healthy lifestyle with good diet containing some oily fish, veg and fruits, sufficient water to drink, some exercise and fresh air. On the days you are not performing the STOP treatment, use a good brand of vitamin C facial serum on cleaned face before moisturising - most cosmetic companies do vitamin C serums.

Well - hope this helps to reassure you. ... - believe me - I would not continue to use a device on myself if I had any doubts about it and we would definitely not get involved with selling of something that could do damage to people! ... The STOP is truly in a class above! So - just enjoy it and do not worry for no valid reasons!

Kind regards and a Happy New Year!

The STOP kit includes the STOP unit, power supply lead with Electrical Supply Adaptor fitted with 3 pin The electrical plug is for UK, and not suitable for US. You need to buy UK to US adapter separately. You can get it in Mori Luggage, Radio Shack, Tumi stores, or on Internet. Here is a link to an adaptor offered on Amazon:

Some new pictures to share done on my friend's eyes after 1 treatment. The fines lines were "ironed out".

Would someone please help to post the pictures (I can't because I'm a new member)? The link is photobucket dot come + slash + stoptreatment, the pictures are DSC_4470s.jpg and DSC_4471s.jpg.

Thanks, Mpstat for carifying the above. It was clear to me but if others haven't researched the information this will help them.

YOU GUYS ARE MAKIN' ME FRIGGIN' CRAZY! I am really REALLY scared of this one 'cause it just sounds too good to be true, and there must be a down side somewhere....and I worry that it's down the road. I don't want to be a canary in this coalmine, but if you keep dangling your beautiful faces and fabulous reports in front of me, I'm going to break down and buy yet ANOTHER gadget. Ok...I have had disappointing results from Dermarolling, nothing from my DPL unit (which admittedly, I used inconsistently) and nothing yet after 3wks of facial exercises. I think my face is also plastic surgery-resistant, as in every procedure, something has gone wrong. I am on the edge of my seat, chomping at the bit, but I know my luck ain't great, so do I dare dive into this fairly untested beauty pool? or wait and see if anyone drowns first??? How can you know there won't be fat loss, or dimpling, or some other weird disfiguration coming down the pike?? Does anyone know ANYONE who has used it for more than a year??

Mountaingirl,
I appreciate your concern and I think you are very wise to think through the long term, as we all should. For me, I spent 15 years worrying about the long term effect of facial exercising and had to programs to use, but was afraid of causing problems with my face by pulling and tugging. I now know, I lost some time that I could have better prepared my skin for my 50's and many years from now. As far as the Stop, it is radio waves and we know thermage is radio waves. Would I have thermage now? No, and I did have it years ago. The machines used for thermage and the procedure itself, is very different. Thermage requires sedation for most people, and is very painful. Stop on the other hand is way toned down in power and the treatment is very plasant and controlled. I am trusting that it wouldn't be available to the general public if there were danger of damage to skin tissue to places that is being sold( in the UK, Scotland,France, or Israel). I have been amazed at how strict standards in the UK are about some devices. So with that said, should we think about long range? Certainly, but from everything I have heard and read I am very comfortable with using the Stop device. For those on the fence we Stop users are willing and able guinea pigs and hopefully will give you as honest a review as possible. Time will tell how much the Stop stops aging Laughing It is always good to question.

Kassy - as I understood it - you slowly moving the unit in a circular pattern cover the entire face - the entire thing should take about 5 minutes (takes longer for me), and stage 2 should take about 7-10 minutes.

For me it takes about 25 minutes total, since it takes me a while to get to that orange light; and sometimes I feel it very hot and the orange light is still not on; so I will go the next area and come back to that spot again in a sec or so.

HTH

One question (or two) for those who have the hang of it;

- The directions say to prepare the skin/area by warming it up, then leave treat for a few more seconds. Is this on each individual 1 inch area, and then repeat this for each spot? Or do you heat the whole face first, and then go back to treat each spot..

You warm up your face by doing small, SLOW circles until the orange light comes on...do that for a few more seconds and go to the area next to it. Do this to your whole face...the goal is to heat up the skin (which will stay warm for a bit), then go to the next area.

Once you have initially heated up your whole face, you basically start going over the whole thing again to keep the heat at the prior level. That way the area has been heated for some time.

I found that it was taking me a bit longer since I had not mastered the technique, so on my 2nd technique I divided my face into 2 halves...I did the warm up on Half 1, followed by the reheat on Half 1. Then I did the warm up on Half 2, followed by the reheat on Half 2 so that they did not cool down because I was moving far too slowly. Rolling Eyes Then I did my neck last.

Halina has decided not to join the forum, and her reasons are explained in this email from her;

Kathy - I have decided against joining the forum. My presence there and participation in discussions could be interpreted by some parties (i.e. Competitors) as commercially motivated and could be discredited. This would not be good to anyone. Hence - it is best that I stay away and I answer individual customer questions as they are put to us via e-mails. We are allowed to perform customer service - such as answering questions about the product. Anything other than that could be deemed as unethical. By joining the forum, I could do a great injustice to the device and also to myself and our company. I hope you can understand my position.

She does follow the forum, and is interested in all we have to say on the subject of 'STOP'.. It also seems to me they are working dilligently to address/fix/change any problems or inconviences we have mentioned in this thread, as well as emails, i.e. US adapters, making the gels more affordable for us etc, answering all inquiries etc..

I'll be happy to share any emails that come my way from her, and it would be great if we all do that... So many times, we all have the same questions floating around our little brains.. Confused Very Happy

For your reading pleasure, this just in from Halina and the use of LED's with the STOP:

Hello Brenda

Re your e-mail and question sent to Roy.

There is no problem, Brenda - none at all! AND we know the answers as we are very familiar with not only LEDs - but with laser phototherapy on the whole - and its medical as well as anti aging beauty effects.

Once you start using the Stop, it will be your choice to use the LED after the STOP treatment - you can use it immediately after the Stop - or on days that you will not use the Stop. Light treatment - either with LEDs or with phototherapy lasers - works well alongside the rf treatment.

You can use the light treatment to calm the skin after the Stop treatment or use it on the days that you are not doing your Stop session. Entirely up to you!

Light treatment as in LEDs or phototherapy lasers and the rf treatment as delivered by the STOP are fully compatible and can be performed one after the other, if you wish to treat on the same day. If you opt for this - the most logical way is to use your light device after the Stop. Alternatively - you can use the LEDs on the Stop gap days.

As you know - the light therapy is painless, non-invasive, non irritating and safe to use. It will not irritate your skin even after the Stop treatment. And light therapy works towards the same goal - anti aging skin rejuvenation - just achieves this in a different way than the rf treatment - for cumulative anti aging outcomes.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

Halina

I found this website that has a question and answer list about Tripollar technology....even though its not exactly about the STOP device, I thought those of you that were looking for a cheaper alternative to the conductor gel might find this interesting. Even thought this is in regards to the professional Tripollar treatments, it might ring the same for the STOP device

Question: What is the best oil to use and why?

Pollogen found in clinical trials that the most suitable oil for TriPollar™ treatments is pure Glycerin oil. This particular type of oil is readily available in any pharmacy. Other pure, unscented massage oil may be used with satisfactory yet not as good results. The properties of Glycerin oil have been found to be the most suitable for the TriPollar™ treatment with relation to RF insulation and gliding of the applicator. Mineral oil or any mineral based oil MUST NOT be used with any TriPollar™ treatment

Hi,

Just spoke with my DH (he gets back late tomm. night Very Happy Very Happy ) re the various Stop concern/questions.

First re comparing the Ultrasound devices to the Stop in terms of frequency output (mhz) is comparing apples to oranges beause the energy is so completely different. He did say that in general (as we already know) the lower ones penetrate more deeply. So obviously if depends on what you are going for re say 1 vs 3 mhz with the US.
He also said that power output (wattage) is very important for depth of penetration.

The last statement also goes for the Stop so we will have to wait & see what kind of wattage it actually is. I mentioned to him that the apollo & regen are 50 & 30 watts. He says based on my description (info from web & you lovely ladies - since I don't have a Stop)the wattage must be much lower perhaps 5- 10 hence much less penetration. There is a bit if a complicating factor in that this device also uses positioning/angle of the electrode placement to control penetration as well. ( I really wish he could take an actual look at one of these for better assessment as his expertise lies in biomedical equipment development & manufacture & he has decades of experience with rf & electrodes!)

He did say that it would be helpful to know - obviously the actual depth of penetration & how this is controlled for given that some of us have thinner/thicker "skin" than others.

So now back to waiting for the additional info from Dr Azer.

I hope that this makes some since & that it's helpful. Shock Confused Smile

Kassy, Bethany is right, you're probably just doing too much all at once - plus checking for results in that dammed magnifying mirror far too often! I also agree with Toby about the bad skin and hair days - except I reckon I get bad weeks. Some days I look in the mirror and I look quite "perky and youthful" and I think all my efforts are paying dividends. Other days I look in the mirror and see Old Mother Hubbard staring back at me (and I must admit it is very depressing). And as for the photo issue - I absolutely cannot stand the site of myself in photos - sometimes I think I've got BDD! (There's a thread floating around here somewhere on this very issue).

I think you should try and take a more relaxed approach to your treatments - maybe concentrate on the Stop seeing as it's your newest "toy" and see how you feel about things in another month. And if all else fails, go and get a face full of Botox! - (sorry, had to throw that in there Bad Grin )

Hi Everyone,

Just heard back from Halina/Dr Azar re the additional specs. Since I know some of you are waiting for this info I am posting prior to reviewing with my husband this pm.

They also sent me additional studies which I will also forward once I check back with them to make sure this is alright.

It seems that the answers to your questions sent to me previously, were incomplete - perhaps someone pressed the 'send' button too early by error without realizing this. After yesterday's conversation with people at Ultragen - the e-mail was resend again and the information is now complete:

1. Maximum Output Power: RF output power (on 2kΩ load): Low level – 0.65 Watts, Medium level – 0.85 Watts, High level 1.1 Watts

2. Output Frequency – 1 MHz
3. Modulation if any- no modulation see Modulation info by Dr Azar attached.

1. Maximum Output Power - Please note that the power levels are different from the professional systems from Pollogen Ltd, which are also powered by TriPollar™ RF technology such as Apollo™ and regen™. The power level of the STOPä clinical skin renewal device are of course lower than that of the professional systems. TriPollar RF technology has been adapted for home use for such devices as the STOPä to work only within the layer of skin for which it has been modified. STOPä’s TriPollar technology has been modified to work effectively and safely in the dermal layer only (which affects the look and feel of the uppermost seen layer, the epidermis; causing tightening, toning of lax skin and reduction in fine lines and wrinkles comfortably for the user.

2. STOPä clinical skin renewal device technical SPECIFICATIONS :

Weight: 85gr

Physical Dimensions: H=134mm L=51mm W=32mm

Operating conditions:

O Temperature: + 5°C to + 30°C

O Humidity: 20RH to 80RH

Rating:

O AC 100Vac to 240Vac 0.6 A 50/60Hz

O DC 7V/8V/9V 1.5A

Transport and Storage:

O Temperature: 0°C to 40°C

O Humidity: 10RH to 90RH

Electrical Safety: Power supply is classified as Class ll – double insulation

Output Frequency: 1MHRZ

3. I am concerned re the possibility of fat loss & additionally DNA damage. – Regardless to the output power or to the frequency, the shape of the electrodes and the distance between them provide a penetration to the dermis only and does not extend to the fat layers (hypodermis) /DNA. The fact that we work only on the dermal layer and not the hypodermal layer (fat layer) is the reason why there is NO facial fat loss.

4. Would also like to know "if' th Stop OS modulated any studies done to show there is no DNA damage being done - Due to the fact that Radio Frequency technologies have been used in medical procedures for over 30 years globally; the outcome of years of research, clinical studies and approval from regulatory institutes world wide have caused this effective and safe technology to cross over to aesthetic procedures, both invasive and non-invasive more recently. With continued years of clinical studies in this field and receipt of regulatory approvals worldwide. The most recent generation in non-invasive Radio Frequency, TriPollar, has lead to a safer, pain free and extremely effective treatments.

You can see further information on tripollar technology at www.tripollar.com and http://www.pollogen.com

Based on what I know this looks very encouraging from
a safety standpoint.

Will post again after I get input from my husband.

Inflammation and wound healing info coming right up!

Here are some quotes related to radio frequency and the wound healing mechanism:

Quote:
Radio Frequency (RF) has been a tried and tested technique in the past few years to provide thermal stimulation to tissue. The objective of these treatments are to encourage the natural wound healing response in the body to increase fibroblast proliferation and thus new collagen and elastin production which repairs and improves the tissue integrity and provides a skin tightening or lifting effect with reduction to fine lines and wrinkles.

RF waves can temporarily change the orientation in space of polar substances/molecules such as water, proteins, amino-acids etc. By oscillating these waves very rapidly we can make this orientation change occur several times a second which produces molecular friction – friction which causes a thermal increase in the localized area.

In response to this thermal motivation the body will respond by increasing vasodilation and hence oxygen and nutrient delivery to the area and we will see a triggering of the immunological chain reaction that leads to the synthesis of procollagen and other structural building blocks of tissue.

In one aspect of the invention, a method includes positioning a first electrode adjacent to, or in contact with, a region on or within a patient's skin, and applying a sufficient high frequency voltage between the first electrode and a second electrode to create a heat injury to a target tissue within the patient's dermis layer without ablating the epidermis layer overlying the target tissue. Typically, the voltage applied to the first and second electrodes is sufficient to induce heating of the dermis layer to about 60°-80° C., preferably about 65°-75° C. This induced heating causes the patient's body to undergo a wound healing response in the slightly inflamed tissue of the dermis. The wound healing process involves the generation of neo-collagen in the dermis layer, which fills in the wrinkle in the patient's skin. In the present invention, this stimulation of collagen growth within the dermis is accomplished while minimizing or suppressing the damage caused to the outer epidermis layer, which reduces the overall pain and wound healing time for the patient.

This article focuses on dermarolling, but has a great overview of the wound healing cascade. I have included some overview info for people who do not want to read the whole article.

Keep in mind that Phase I will be slightly different for the STOP since there is no bleeding. I have not figured out all the details on exactly how the wound cascade occurs after the heating injury, but will post more when I find it.

Phase II: the period for tissue proliferation

In standard wounds, the inflammatory phase ends after about 5 to 6 days, as proliferation and tissue formation ensue.

Phase III – the process of tissue remodeling

Tissue remodeling continues for months after the injury and is mainly done by the fibroblasts (Fig. 15). By the fifth day after injury, the fibronectin matrix is laid down along the axis in which fibroblasts are aligned and in which collagen will be laid down. TGF-b and other growth factors play an important part in the formation of this matrix. Collagen type III is laid down in the upper dermis just below the basal layer of the epidermis. Collagen type III is gradually replaced by collagen type I over a period of a year or more, which gives increased tensile strength.

Kassy- you have absolutely gorgeous eyes!

And these eye lashes ...

Regarding the state of the affairs now - it looks to me that your eyes are swollen, so every little thing is magnified 10 times. It is not that the actual new wrinkles were formed, but the inflammation caused the swelling and the swelling accentuated every possible minuscule defect to the point that it looks like a major thing.

It should subside within a few days, if my theory is correct.

I would use some very mild and calming eye cream and watch it for a few days.

Also, if the inflammation is a sign of new collagen building, may be in the long run it is a promise of forthcoming good results...

I tried it yesterday with LED treatment 1st, followed by Stop - nothing to report yet (nothing in any direction).

I am trying to be hopeful, since we all bought the thing and are now stuck with it.

Right all I'm Danny and i have a PhD in Age Reversal, for many years Ive tried so many gadgets and been luck enough to be able to analyse my skin in the laboratory using samples and ultra sound.

The Stop Tripollar causes no inflammation at all!!!!! and in my tests its the best thing since sliced bread.

Ive got 2 clients who have through dermarolling caused massive damage to their skin thru infections getting into the skin and vast amounts of burst capillaries and Acne spreading just to name a few problems. Ive analysed skin after 6 weeks of Dermarolling and no way do they match in the slightest the results Ive got from Stop.

The needles from the dermaroller are varied people can be silly enough to use needle's to large for the face and cause nerve damage.

Stop bypasses the top layer of the skin and goes to where it matters and where we cant get to with any cream or lotion. Any Machine that reached this area is wonderful its causes us to get loads more healthy collagen and Healthy Elastin.

Im a slim quite muscular lad and my face hasn't got any thinner at all all that's happened is that its taken extra years off my face and my skin looks incredible.

My clients use it on their hands and bodies to help the skin regenerate,, but don't forget we cant work miracles people. Many people that have lots of cellulite and damaged skin need to totally change their diet and do some form of exercise to help get rid of toxins and to reoxygenate the skin .

If you have some other type of LED device Ive got a Baby Q i only use it ever so often as really the Stop seems to do all that is needed. So no need for Anti inflammatories which can do more harm than good, just eat well drink water,, use a good skin cream ( the Stop Cream works well but so do lots of others)

Hope this answers some of your questions,, , when i did my ultra sound after 6 or 7 weeks my skin was thicker and had a very good network of Collagen and Elastin.

So STOP WORRYING ,,,, its a great thing to use so i would say if you can afford it buy it

I absolutely agree with Mpstat - it is OK to question someone's expertise and opinion, it is not OK to be nasty about it. My assumption would be that Danny is getting his Ph.D. in Biochemistry or any other discipline with emphasis on age reversal studies. On the other hand if there could be Ph.D. in nursing I guess anything else is possible.

Keliu - thank you so much for getting the information about Stop from the author of the product. It does seem to make sense. I just hope the results will eventually follow.

Kassy - I would suspect that age may affect the speed of collagen buildup, and that would mean that it would take a bit longer for a more wise person to see the results. Even though I find it so hard to believe you really are 59... You look incredible (yes, even in that picture where you had seen new lines - you are still exceptionally young looking).

Keliu - do you see any results?

I wrote an email to Colleen (The good Drs Asst.), and asked what she would suggest I try, considering I haven't had any positive results with 9 treatments... She replied with an in depth treatment instruction, so I thought I'd share it here FYI. (It should be helpful to those of you who are considering the STOP also.)

Dear Katheryn,

Thank you for your inquiry regarding your innovative STOP™ clinical skin renewal device.

Just for you knowledge, it is not harmful should you continue working with the device according to the weekly protocol for as long as it takes for you to see the results you are looking for. As is indicated, this product is very individual as the results are. The results vary from person to person, due to the differences in age, skin type, skin problem areas upon beginning the treatment.

Please go over the treatment techniques that I have outlined below, as you indicated that you have been using the device 2 times a week, I would suggest to increase it to 3 times a week. Keep in mind that you must continue to leave one-day intervals between each treatment.

Now, let’s focus on mastering the working technique and feeling comfortable with it…so for now do not look at the clock. I know that you have been using the device for a while but let’s just make sure that the treatment technique matches how you have been working and that maybe we can find what might be hindering your results. Bear with me, as I know that much of this you already know from your use of the product…

Let’s start by going over the lights on the device and what they are for (fig. 8 from the user manual):

Orange indicator light is located in the upper middle section of the device. The orange indicator light is here to show you when you have reached the optimal temperature in the section you are treating and that you should now move to an adjacent section, continue treating this next section until the orange light appears again, etc.

Always be sure to move as slowly as possible in circular motions. As slowly as you can, without stopping the device (at a snail’s pace). Here, I would like to mention that the pace shown by the model in the ‘instructional movie’ is far too fast, as the movie was meant to be only an overview of a full treatment and not the actual intended pace.

Green indicator light is at the top of the device. This shows you when the device is ON or OFF. In addition, it can flicker due to a safety mechanism that keeps your skin from overheating or possible burns. It is not necessary that you see the flicker, if you are treating according to protocol then you are working properly.

It is very important to follow these guidelines in order to reach the optimal treatment temperature, as the pace at which you work and the size of the working segments are key to your success, once you are used to the technique you will be much faster, results will be more immediate and treatment will be quick and easy:

1. Do not look at the clock until you have mastered the treatment technique

2. Please note that the instructional movie is only an overview of treatment and the pace at which the model is working is not the actual pace of treatment. The actual pace is a very slow circular motion, explained further in point 7

3. Make sure to spread a thin, even layer of STOP preparation gel over entire treatment surface prior to treatment

4. Segment your face into 8-11 adjacent sections, ensuring that the sections are no larger than twice the size of the device head.

5. Place the device onto the initial section of your skin, ensure that all 4 electronic tips (electrodes) are touching the skin at all times

6. Always begin working on Low power setting, and increase according to your comfort level

7. Begin working the initial section in VERY SLOW ‘snail pace’ circular motions until the Orange indicator light appears and stays lit for a second or two. Try to move as slowly as possible without actually stopping the movement of the device. Note that the slower you move, the faster the energy/heat begins to treat within the skin.

8. Watching the orange indicator light carefully is important, as this is your guide to keep moving to the next section.

9. Move to the adjacent section and work until the Orange indicator light appears for a second or two once again

10. Continue this working pattern until you have completed treatment of the entire face

11. Clean, dry your skin of all preparation gel and moisturize.

Please note that the Orange indicator light appears after the initial section (the section you chose to start your treatment) has warmed to the optimal temperature. Once you have finished with the initial section, the Orange indicator light can appear quite quickly thereafter in the adjacent sections, as the heat from the preceding section can radiate outwardly causing the areas following to heat faster. This is exactly how treatment should be at this stage. Just note that the initial section will take the longest amount of time to heat up, as the skin is at its coldest when starting treatment, but will heat up quicker with each adjacent section you move on to.

At the end of treatment, to maintain the optimal treatment temperature for a few more minutes, you can use the device freely in ‘lifting’ movements. Begin from the chin moving upwards. However, do not concern yourself with this until you have mastered the main technique and you have the treatment time down to a comfortable period. Once you have, then you can end your treatment with this little boost.

Please always remember that treatment is 2-3 times a week (recommending 3 times a week now for you), with one-day intervals between each treatment. Since we are working with the natural process of the body, this day of rest is actually a day of work for the skin by rebuilding and producing new collagen, readying it for your next treatment day.

Just remember to enjoy, this is a very simple and relaxing treatment once you master your individual STOP™ treatment technique.

I do hope this helps, however should you have any questions or feel you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us at any time.

With kindest regards,

Colleen

Hello Colleen,

I have done 8 STOP treatments in total, averaging 2 or 3 times per week.. I do it exactly as specified, warming the skin well, and then the 2nd pass.. I don't rush, and all in all it takes about 45 minutes for full face and neck. I really enjoy the treatments, and look forward to them..

Unfortunately, I haven't had any positive results so far.. I wondered if you could suggest anything else I could try. I don't want to overuse, but if it would help I'll try every other night as I did the first week. Or is it advisable to perhaps do 3 passes instead of 2.

I would appreciate any suggestions you have for me..

I also noticed on the professional unit glycerin oil is used for treatments. Is there any reason I can't use that in place of the treatment gel that came with the STOP?

Thank you for any help you can offer me.

Katherine

I think I'm one of the first ones here who purchased Stop. Just an update, I've stopped using stop Smile Reason is that there was no major change to my skin after using it for a few months.

I'm sure most of you have already viewed the result on my mother (who is 60+), her result was quite amazing. Well that never happened to me. I am in mid 30s, Asian, fair skin, slight pigmentation problem. I wanted to improve the expression lines under my eyes and nothing happened so far. I have no fine lines/wrinkles anywhere when I don't smile.

My conclusion is, I think Stop only works on non-expression fine lines/wrinkles. It will not cure deep folds/wrinkles or expression lines. I did mention that it gave me a plumper skin / glow but I agree with Bethany that was more like an inflammation, although it will last for a day or two. Nothing permanent happened. I was kinda disappointed. That same plumper look was achievable with cheaper topical products such as Cellbone that I recently purchased after reading its reviews on this site.

That said I still believe it's a genuine device that works to cure wrinkles, but it only acts like an "iron" and would iron out fine lines and shallow wrinkles, result could be permanent I guess after a while. I don't find it able to stimulate collagen growth or generate any skin deep effect. So Stop might only work on a group of people but not me.

Sorry for such a negative post, that was just my subjective opinion, I'm sure some of you might find the device effective Smile
