Did my 11th treatment and still nothing positive going on, so I decided to drop a line to Halina, and see if she had any tips or suggestions..
I just got a length reply, but it's mostly just going over the how to's which we already know.. I won't share all that, but this part goes against everything we have heard and read;
The green light switching off indicates that the device shut itself down on reaching the preset temperature. With orange light lighting up readily - you should be moving from area to area smoothly and fast and without delaying and absolutely not stopping the movement at any point. Are you moving the device fast enough?
What happened to all we read and were told about a 'snails pace'...
For Toby + Mpstat specifically (since you are experiencing the best results), exactly how fast or slow are you going.. And do you find your skin is heating up much quicker now, than in the beginning?
Thoughts anyone ... |

I made a comment earlier in the thread that I thought a 30% and 16% reduction in fine lines and wrinkles wasn't a significant amount. And I honestly think a 16% reduction would be barely visible to the naked eye - even though we're all constantly peering in magnifying mirrors! I'm still standing by my opinion. But it's the lift that I want. |

I will do a treatment before I go to bed and post. The last time I posted that the green light was going off more and Bethany brought up the idea it might be due to treatments every other day. I decided to go longer between treatments to see if there is a difference so I will post tomorrow about it. I do the warm up slow but the additional passes much faster.

Kassy - my skin heats the same as before, did not notice any difference. I do not do two separate passes, but approach the entire treatment as one pass, making sure that entire face is equally warm. I keep on moving all over the face. However in the very beginning I start somewhat slower, and then speed up. Once I am done with the face I move to neck. Face AND neck take about 30-40 minutes. |

Maybe she's referring to the initial warm-up treatment when you move from one section to the other after the orange light comes on. Maybe she's suggesting that when the orange light comes on you should move to the next area immediately. I don't know - but really, I don't regard her as an "expert" on this.
When I do my treatments (on high), I find the orange light comes on almost immediately and pretty much stays on the whole time. The green light flashes on and off occasionally. I also think that the device gets quite hot. |

Thank you for sharing ladies!
In regards to my relating to Halina that the orange light stays on continuously, but the green light/device kept going off when I barely touched a new spot, (last 2 TX's), this was her take on why that would happen.
Normally people have problems working the lights at the start of the treatment programme. As they embark on doing regular sessions, the experience always translates itself into much easier and faster completion of the subsequent sessions with everything working well and temperature being reached faster. For instance - after months of use, I can now do my entire face and neck in about 10 minutes and perhaps even a little less if I really tried or had to.
My personal explanation for this: - the proficiency in using the device and - I would also venture to say that perhaps - a better quality of skin with better blood flow and greater responsiveness to treatment - much faster warming up of adjacent areas. Improved blood flow in the treatment area (your face) would contribute to much faster warming - in my opinion and experience.
So if the reason my skin is heating so thoroughly and quickly is because of what she say's, why the heck isn't my skin getting tighter? Perhaps it already is as tight as I can expect at this age...
Argh! |

You need to go at a snail's pace during the Warm Up Phase if you have a problem reaching the optimal temperature.
But once you complete the Warm Up Phase, your 2nd pass can be much quicker because you are simply refreshing the already heated area.
But if the green light flashes on and off, the area is already hot enough and you can move on to the next area. |

My bloody skin is heating up too quickly from the getgo... The orange light is solid and continuous from 1 minute in, and as soon as I move to the next spot it's hot, and the green light is going off in 3 or 4 seconds literally.. It remains that way through the entire treatment. It's a PITA with the device going off every few seconds. |

Well, I'm experiencing the same thing - the orange light is just about always on. But I thought this was a good thing and it was a sign that those waves were penetrating the skin.
Maybe the fact is that we're just two hot mamas - or we're continually getting hot flashes!
Kassy, have you tried using the medium setting? Maybe this would be better for you. |

My orange light has been staying on and the green light has not gone off. I go pretty slow in one area but to be honest I have to move over to the next area pretty quickly because it's really hot. Takes me 15 minutes to do my face. I only do one pass but I don't move the Stop to much to the next area. I'm doing slow cirles then move over maybe a half an inch. |

Well, you know my theory there. But Keliu's theory is far more fun!

Frodo, are you on high or medium?
I was initially concerned that you were only doing one pass, but you are within their treatment timeframe of 12-15 mins, so it doesn't sound like you are underheating the area. |

Yes, why are some of you only doing one pass, when it states in the instructions that you should do an initial "warming" treatment? |

Keliu - I am doing one pass because this is how I individually was instructed to do by the manufacturer after they reviewed my treatment detail. My understanding that this recommendation is more an exception then a norm. |

I've plowed along with two passes every time.. I can't remember where I read it, but I remember something about keeping the skin at the optimal temperature, for an extended period for best results.. (It might have been the study from the Dr that invented the STOP).. |

Mpstat, can you please fill us in on this a little more...when you say they reviewed your treatment detail, do you mean like when your lights were turning on and off, or was it something more detailed?
I'm only asking because I want great results like you're having! |

Well I just finished my second treatment.
I'm seeing what it can do for the skin just above the knees and the upper inner thighs. Doing half way up the thigh, from the centre of the leg to the inner thigh. It only took half an hour to do all the areas. Once the orange light goes on it stays on for the whole treatment time.
I'm going to do 2 treatments a week for 6 weeks at this stage.
Here's hoping I get some improvement with this gadget. |
