Where is the best place to buy this device now? Is ebay ok? |

I only had 3 treatments so far. I just didn't have time lately to use it more often. I was a little disappointed after my first go as I couldn't see any improvement but sure it is not realistic to notice any results after just first go.
I rally liked my skin after my second go, and it lasted for a good week. I have to say I didn't have a facial or a peel for a month since using Stop and my skin still looks good.
I will continue to use the device at least twice a week, as I believe you have to use it often enough to see a benefit. I am glad I have bought Stop, even I don't usually believe in home use units. |

How old are you and what skin issues do you have that you are trying to improve. For example, someone in their fifties might be wanting to smooth out fine lines, wrinkles, and sag. This probably wouldn't be an issue for someone in their 20's or 30's. I saw the most improvement in fine lines and wrinkles and some tightening up of skin. Collagen takes time to form so some changes will occur after several months. Seeing your profile as a skin specialist you know more about this than me, but for the sake of other posters I wanted to mention the collagen building time. |

I am 30 years old. You are right about the collagen needing some time, i know. My skin is in a good condition,I am looking after it alright. But I feel that I hadn't been doing much in previous years for skin aging, all my life I've been fighting acne, and scaring and now feel like it is time to address the skin aging. I was thinking about having the tripollar treatment done in a spa, but then, saw your post and went for Stop instead.I don't know if it is going to work for me,we are all very different, but I soon find out. Normally I wouldn't believe in home use devices, but the company making Stop is a good manufacture of those type of machines, so I can trust them. |

I have been told that the pre-treatment gel for the Stop and the Pose is the same but yesterday in looking at the Q&A from this site .........................
they say they are not the same...I emailed to find out. |
I thought the gels were the same too. I use both the Stop and the Pose so I have both gels, they feel the same and the ingredient list on both of them are word for word identical. After reading the question on the link Toby provided, I'm wondering about it. I'd also like to know if you can use other gels that are used for RF treatments in salons or can you only use just these gels. |

They are the same, I had that checked out. Might be a marketing ploy from that site....having checked with other sources they are the SAME! |

Just to update you on my progress. I am afraid I haven't achieved much since the start of using Stop. My skin looks the same,I don't know maybe I haven't done enough treatments to see any results, but I have a feeling it is not going to work for me. I think I should wait for a few months and then do a few sessions again. I started the LED light therapy treatment in the salon I used to work in. I remember seeing good results in the client's skin after a course of treatments. So hopefully it will make some difference on my skin too. |

About the gel~ I bought the Pose a little while ago and before doing so, did a little research online and came across a book on Amazon about Tripolar treatments used in salons and the authors stated that the product which allows the high frequency radio waves to sink into the skin is glycerin which happens to be one of the leading ingredients in the very expensive Tripollar gel. I've used my unit with glycerin, and with the gel and it seems to work the same.
I know this thread is about the Stop unit, but figured I'd make a comment about the gel |

I think it was Puritan's Pride or Amazon, one of those places had the NOW vegetable glycerin on sale at very low cost for a 16 oz bottle. It's not in gel form, more like a thick syrup. But I imagine you could use a thickner and make it into gel form. I was comparing it to the gel which came with the Pose. |

I understand that the gel is expensive but I would be concerned about subsituting anything but what was recommended to be used. The gel is forumulated to keep the heat consistant and yet not to burn. |

I use the Stop on my face, neck, hands and forearms and the Pose on my upper arms, abdomen and upper thighs. So I use a lot of gel. I'm going to try the glycerin on my stomach and see how it works. I have noticed a smoothing of the skin on my upper arms and my abdomen is a little flatter. I also use a lightstim everywhere but not on my abdomen so some of the results could be due to a combination of them both. |

I received my STOP today, so I will be having my first treatment tonight. I have read this *whole* thread and will be procedding with caution, keeping my eye out for any early damage.
(I received my POSE yesterday, so I will be updating both threads with any progress)

Okay, I have completed my 6th treatment, and...
... nothing to report yet.
I am aware that collagen building takes time, so I'm not really expecting much right now.
As some others have reported, my skin looks a bit tired and aged the day after a treatment, but the following day has a really pleasing 'glow'.
I am doing my neck and decollage too - The skin covering my collarbones is sort of wrinkly/crepy, which I loathe, and directly after a treatment the skin there is plumped out and smooth; this effect is only inflammation and is gone by the next day. I will used this if I'm going out in the evening.
I am hoping that long-term use will improve this collarbone area.
Oh, and I have developed lots of fine bumps/spots along my jawline - not sure if it's from the gel.
Anyone else got updates? |

I remember this topic being discussed earlier in the thread, and there was some doubt. I can't remember if it was resolved, so for reference, this appears in the FAQ on the WinHealth site:
Quote: |
Q.32: Can I use the same treatment gel or do I have to continue buying the Tripollar STOP Gel as well as the Tripollar POSE Gel?
A.32: The Tripollar Treatment Gel formula is the same for both tripollar devices. The only difference is the quantity of the gel that the tripollar devices are supplied with. It is highly likely that you will use more tripollar gel with the POSE as you will be treating larger areas of your body with the POSE than with the STOP. If you own and use both tripollar devices, it will make good financial sense to purchase the Tripollar Gel in 130 ml tube as supplied with the Tripollar POSE. As there is only one tripollar gel formula, you can use the same tripollar gel for your Tripollar STOP treatment and for your TriPollar POSE treatment. |

Here's a link to some of the best Q&A on the Tripollar made by Pollogen and I think answered by them.www.wellnessbuzzhub.com/embeddedimages/faq.pdf
question 39 addresses the best product used with it, so I figured if glycerin works with a high level professional unit, it should do the trick for the little home use ones; but to each their own~what ever works for ya The Pose seems to be working but it takes much longer than advertised plus dedication on the users part. I don't have wrinkles on my face but would like to tighten my neck, and facial exercises are slowly helping that area so not sure if I want to get the Stop unless I get a great deal on it. |

Decided to dust off my STOP this morning, having not used it for months because I discovered the EDS website at the time if its purchase (March 2010). This led to the discovery of all the exciting gadgets available. I then blew up my credit card purchasing them & then was spoilt for choice on what to play with on any given day.
At present I am smitten with my Skindream Titanium for a even toned & creamy looking skin, but feel there is sag around my jawline. Tonight having used the STOP this morning, my whole face feels tight, as if the skin has been shrink wrapped to my skull - it looks it too.
I am going to use my Skindream on the days I do not use the STOP but hope to see the treatment of the STOP through this time & then move to maintenance. I expect this tight feeling - & look - is due to inflammation, although I do not look puffed up. I am hoping the two gadgets used alternately during the weeks ahead may have a synergistic effect. I certainly never remember my face feeling this tight when I used the STOP before - fingers crossed.
I am actually beginning to wonder if the the good results I saw on my jawline earlier in the year were in fact from the STOP I had played about with so many machines it was not a true test of any one of them.
I will keep you posted. |

.....I have just been looking at a Q&A section on both the STOP & POSE, from the company I originally bought my STOP from. Scroll down the page to get to the Q&A section:
http://www.currentbody.com/beauty/tripollar-stop-anti-ageing-face.html#212822
Interestingly, they suggest that the POSE, designed for body use & the zapping of fat, may be used on the fat under the chin - ewwww I can feel another gadget purchase building I sure would like to zap that little wobble of growing fat in time for Christmas - gobble! gobble! No more Turkey neck - mmmmmmm |
