Toby here reporting on the Stop(treatment 4)
Another WOW forehead continuing to look good and lifted, with this treatment the lower face was lifted. It has been 24 hours and the results look as good as after the treatment, maybe a little better. No redness after 15 minutes of the treatment. Skin is smooth, under eyes really looking better, and as I said lifting and tightening is apparent in the lower face and actually the whole face in general. I had a close friend ask me today at work what in the world was I doing to my face, she thought it looked fabulous And Oh boy that made my day. This friend wrote the website down where I got the machine and said that was going to be her Valentine and Anniversary gift.Isn't if fun how we justify what we do

WOW...that is awesome news! I am having to fight myself not to buy one of these right NOW!! |

Hey Bethany I have great justification for you. You know weight loss can cause facial sag so getting the STOP now will keep you ahead of the game. No sense in letting the face drop down to the floor and have to get the Stop device to lift it back up We ARE thinking positive here, you are going to have wieght loss, RIGHT? So why not get the Stop now and be proactive!!!!My husband says I am the master of justification when it comes to getting something I want Imagine that

I just completed another Stop treatment. I still have two fine lines on my forehead, but my face is definitely looks great. I would think that it is lifting effect. It is not that I can point to a specific area, but overall I look fresher and younger!
During past several days I kept looking in the mirror and each time was able to validate that I DO look fresher, and it is not a mistake. Very nice! I really like what I see in the mirror.
I compliment my treatments with ProLights and between two of them it seems that Stop helps to tighten the skin, while ProLight helps with cells vitality. I feel that between two of them skin can look wonderful! I do not know how much of those initial Stop results will be possible to retain, but even retaining half of those would be good!
Also I agree with Toby that Stop RF might be a substitute for dermarolling for skin tightening, but without downtime involved, and with faster results. Not sure if it is as good for scar reduction, maybe dermarolling is still a better choice for scars, but for facial treatments it might be a good substitute. |

It figures that I just stocked up on rollers, sigh. But I am planning to cut my dermarolling back to once every 3 months anyway, so I could still work the STOP in! |

I have my share of derma rollers as well. But I do remember Rita at Prolight saying vary your skin actives and procedures. Skin like hair needs variety, and not the the same thing all the time for the best results. So even if the Stop could replace the derma rolling for collagen production a roll every now and then is probably going to be great for stimulation. Between the prolights, derma rolling, facial exercising, and Stop I will should be turning SWEET 16 by my next birthday!! Imagine that

This is exactly what I feel! I was afraid to state it publicly, but during the last several days a thought "I look like in my twenties" crossed my mind on several occasions.
ProLights, facial exercises and Stop is just the right combination so we can arrive to our SWEET 16 at the same time!!! |

Facial dermarolling for me involves down time up to a week. I had an intensive roll of my forehead some time ago, and was very cautious when had to be around people. Most of the time I need to face people and can not have downtime. It makes it challenging to fit dermarolling into my schedule even when I want to.
For now I am going to dermaroll a scar on my hand, while for facial treatments will continue with Stop. Dermarolling will be on a waiting list until I need to get more results and diversify the treatments in the future. |

Kandy, after a STOP treatment, you moisturise. STOP provide a moisturiser for post - treatment, which is perfectly nice, but at the moment we cant see how it has any particular benefit over and above your standard moisturiser.
The gel is a conductive one for use during the treatment. For other facial gadgets, people have used, I believe aloe vera gel, even..
Some of you know that I am a great fan of dermarolling, and have used it really successfully for stretchmarks and on my hands. I had a problem when I used it on my decolletage : a load of melasma appeared. Because of this I am wary of rolling my face. I wrote to STOP asking if sun damage would be likely to surface from treatment, and they said NO, so that is great news for me.
I also couldnt resist asking if they were going to bring out a body model and this is their reply:
It is very likely that in 2009 we will be coming out with a device for body, powered by the same TriPolar RF technology. This device will refine, reduce and reshape the body. In addition to tightening lax skin and rebuilding collagen in the dermis, this product will reduce body circumference and the appearance of cellulite.
Very happy about this news! |

catski - fantastic!
I asked Win Health the same question, but they did not know the answer at that time and were going to contact the manufacturer. Who provided you the body tripollar info was it Win HEalth or the manufacturer? |

mpstat, I wrote direct to the email address on the info I found online.
(I asked also about why it wasnt ok to use the facial device on the breasts.. it is something to do with insurance companies not willing to take on any liability that may arise, given the statistic that 10% of women get breast cancer, so they cannot/ will not recommend it for breast use.) |

Thank you catski ! I wonder if there is any research on RF on breasts including side effects. |

I emailed Halina at Win about any concern about loss of fat on the face with the STOP device. I have copied her response and later the response of the company that manufactors the device. She emailed the company(this is a copy of her intial response:
[i]I am a STOP user myself and just like you - I am so very impressed too!
As far as the fat reduction is concerned - I do not think that this could happen. The STOP is a device designed for safe home use. The temperature it achieves on the skin is within established and pre-set safety limits and the device shuts itself down as soon as the limit is reached. It doesn to cause any structural damage and results are achieved relatively fast, but cumulatively over a period of time.
Heating temperatures during treatment with Thermage will be without comparison to those produced by the STOP. I also think that there will be a difference in the depth that Thermage reaches.
I am not a specialist on Thermage and I do not feel terribly qualified to draw any comparisons between Thermage and the STOP. I have therefore posed your question to the manufacturer of the STOP and awaiting their response.
Can you please give me few days - counting that Friday is a day off in Israel. Normally - I am able to get their response on the same day.
I will get back to you as soon as I can - when I am armed with a firm response from Ultragen.
Kindest regards and very best wishes to you for a happy and healthy New Year!
Halina

THIS IS AN ANSWER FROM HALINA TODAY with her respnse and then the response from the company 1/6/09
You can treat your face without worry about losing any facial fat. The official response from the STOP manufacturer is below. Hope it reassures you about the safety of the treatment.
Kind regards
Halina

Question: Would there be any facial fat loss caused by the STOP™ treatment course?
Answer: STOP is a device indicated for facial tightening and as such, the technical parameters of the device have been adjusted to stimulate collagen in the dermal layer and not go deeper into the hypodermis (location of the fat cells). The set parameters (in terms of power, treatment time and the warming effect) are not adequate for treatments on the fat layer. The TriPollar™ energy induces an increase in dermal activity resulting in the stimulation of collagen production and thickening of the dermis (the skin’s foundation of elastin and collagen) leading to visible skin tightening, firming and renewal without any loss in facial fat.
If there are some of you that had the question about facial fat loss I think this answers it well.

so today I also bought the STOP device with the 2 gels (for a first try I bought the gels from STOP, but next time, I might use something else)
I was first into buying a LED device, but after reading the very positive reviews on STOP, my choice was quickly made, esp. because I needed something to tighten the skin.
I wanted to order a red one, but they are out of stock. I wonder where those went to..
Does anybody know if the UK plug is the same in the rest of Europe? |

Out of all we tried RF is at the top for skin tightening at the moment, while LEDs give skin health and glow. |
