No matter what I do I ALWAYS get razor burn on my bikini and inner thigh area!! I use a new razor, good quality shaving cream and yet I still get painfully itchy, red, sore razorburn! The fact that I walk a lot and wear pants and my inner thighs rub against the pants makes it worse!! What products do you ladies use to help sooth/prevent bad razor burn because I get a really bad case of it everytime I shave....mind you, not on my legs or underarms, just the inner thigh and bikini area...weird... |

This always used to happen to me, I'd advise you to ditch the wet shaving and invest in a good electrical shaver/trimmer and instead of.... how do I put this... giving yourself a close no.1 shave, a number 2 or 3 may be better.
Follow with an application of post shave lotion, I tend to look in the men's skincare section for this |

There are a couple of products you
might want to try after you shave.
One is Tend Skin. I believe it's available on EDS, and also Bikini Zone.
I've tried both and they do work. |

Not the most glamorous product ever but Bikini Zone, it can be found at most drug stores. The gel or the cream both work like a dream, and it's not just for bikini area! You can use it anyway. Only things neg I can say about it is that it has a strong medicinal scent and stings a bit at first. But it works like a dream, and has a numbing action after about 20 sec. If you invest (which won't break your bank account a bit! ) let me know how it worked out for you.
Best Regards |

I used to get bad razor burn in the bikini area too. I think we're more apt to get ingrowns and razor burn in the area because the hair is coarser and hard to remove. I always do that part last so that thehair gets soft in the water and steam-- putting a warm, wet wash cloth there before you shave helps to, to soften the hair.
I love Kiss My Face Moisture Shave. I never get razor burn or ingrowns when I use it. I think it also helps me shave less often. Also, if you can find it, PFB Vanish is a good after shave treatment. But anything with salicylic acid will help. Like even if you have a face scrub or wash with SA, use that before or after you shave. |

I use Aveeno moisturizing lotion as a shaving lotion to prevent razor burns. It helps, but as one of the previous posters said a good electrical shaver is much better alternative. I bought Remington Smooth and Silky Ultra Plus Shaver (Rechargeable). |

Tend Skin is the IT item for treating razor burn. I heard of a new mitt like contraption that is soposed to remove unwanted hair without causing any kind of razor burn/uncomfort whatsoever. Who knows if this works or not... Has anyone on here tried that yet? Im actually kind of interested... |

I'd also like to put in my vote for TendSkin. Awesome stuff. |

I recently tried using Tend Skin (not a cheap product, but I didn't want to mess with a recipe to make my own). It stung, but killed the razor/depilitory burn. |
