Hi-
I have been lurking and reading about the skin spatula and I wondered if I could get an opinion on a unit that I saw on ebay. I know its not the one from Bellaire?, but what do you think of the quality of this one? If I need to just bite the bullet, I will, but I was interested in your opinions on this one first.
Thank you very much! The item number is 110295911541 (because I cannot link). |

If I could link, I would, but it won't let me because I am new. Is anyone willing to help me? |

I had a look at it and it looks fine to me. However, I think some of the other skin spatulas that are popular are the smaller, hand-held units, such as the Nuskin one. I don't have a skin spatula but I do have an ultrasonic UP5 which (I think) is a similar sort of gadget and I enjoy using it every day.
So really, I haven't been much help. But being a complete gadget junkie myself, if I was lusting after the Ebay one - I'd just go and buy it! Let us know if you do. |

Thank you very much for replying! I am still learning and don't mind doing the research here. I just wanted quick thoughts on this one.
Back to reading! |

I am looking at these on eBay.
One is 1mhz the other is 3mh.
From what I can tell, the second one also has several interchangeable heads - at least I think that's what it implies.
item=380096898142
item=360129806424 (can't post full link as new user)
I had to actually email both sellers to ask the mhz rating, which I thought was odd, being one of the basic premises of the things.
Any advice from anyone who has one of these or even another brand would be most appreciated. |

I have been thinking about getting an ultrasound unit for product penetration. I have read that there could be fat loss from using the ultrasound on your face. Anyone have more info on that? Also what are some other benefits of using the ultrasound? |

Just a xref to a note I posted on the 302 thread pge 99 http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=28855%26postdays=0%26postorder=asc%26%26start=2450 about Bellaire's HS 3003 Spatula US - Nanci atwww.ncnproskincare.com is offering these units and will require 5 orders to guarantee the order. Contact her directly to order.
You will also see on the thread, that these units are recommended as the best home care US devices for about any skin problems you may have. |

We had a huge discussion about this on the L2K handheld thread.
To summarize, ultrasound can NOT cause fat loss.
1mhz is ONLY for the body - it can can cause sagging if used on the face.
2, 3, and 5mhz are for the face....2 is stronger than 5.
Ultrasound primarily increases product penetration, but some scrubber units can also help with exfoliation.
When using ultrasound, you MUST keep the area moist by misting with water throughout the treatment, OR by using a water based gel over the topicals. (the topical alone is NOT sufficent, and if the area gets too dry the vibrations can no longer be conducted into the skin.)
Bellaire is one of the best brands. Do a search here on EDS for Bellaire and you will find the contact info, a recommended 2mhz unit, and how to get $50 off (and a better warranty) by buying directly from Bellaire. |

Without wishing to contradict your post, why would anyone not want savings along with the warranty fromwww.ncnproskincare.com? Makes no sense to me.... |

The one you are talking about is WAY better, but not everyone wants to spend that much, or needs that exfoliation functionality.
If anyone did the search, they would have seen the details. But it's my fault for being lazy and not spelling all that out...now I had to answer your post AND go get the other info to make up for it, lol.
But the good news is that I was wrong on the discount...the correct info is below. But you are correct that if/when Nanci finds 5 people ready to buy a HS3003 at the same time, they will get a better deal on that by going through her vs. Bellaire directly for one unit.
Bellaire also sells the Ezzi-Peel which is also a spatula/scrubber, but not as high end as the HS3003. It's in the $300 range, though I don't knwo the exact price...Rileygirl ended up buying that one.

Does anyone know of a less expensive ultrasound than the Bellaire HS3003? I would like an US to help with product penetration, but that one is a lot of money! |
Rileygirl,
If all you want to do is penetrate, you just need a probe and not HS3003, which is a spatula or blade, mainly used for exfoliation and/or penetration. Bellaire was offering one with Dr H's recommended 1 watt/cm2. Here was Sing-Hong's email from awhile back. Contact him for details:
Yes, our 2 MHz probe has a 1 w/cm2 output. We can offer you the price of $165.00. We usually sell to 302 customers at $180.00.

So glad you cleared that up. Of course, the purpose of my post was to advise everyone who was interested in the HS 3003 model that they could get a good deal on it from Nanci.
Whatever other model might interest people is another issue entirely.
