Hi,
I'm new here and am very impressed with the community you have here!
I'm currently looking for some anti aging cream and need some advice on whats good and whats bad. I would specifically like something to take away the lines across the top of my cheeks. Saying that, they are more like creases and show up quite a bit when in a bad lighting position. I have always had them, but for some reason i never really took much notice of them. Maybe they've just got a bit worse lately.
I'm so overwhelmed with that amount of different products on this site I don't quite know where to start. I thought a good place was obviously the 'Best Sellers' page. Two products that sound useful are 'Janson Beckett High-Performance Anti-Aging System' and 'Kate Somerville Deep Tissue Repair with Peptide K8'. There were others there too but i'll start with those.
Thank you !

When it comes to anti-aging creams, unfortunately everyone has a different recommendation. On the Forum, at the moment, there's allot of buzz about Karin Hertzog, 302 Skincare and Remergent - just go to the Products Review Forum and your mind will be boggled! All of this tends to cause more confusion and it's difficult to know what to try.

All I know is that Retin-A is pretty much the scientific Holy Grail of skincare at this time. That, along with Vitamins C and E, is the most commonly recommended approach by dermatologists. But of course I, along with everyone else, am searching for that "miracle in a jar".

You might also consider using a Dermaroller:

And sunscreen! Don't forget sunscreen, especially if you're going to be using suns sensitizing stuff like retinoids.

Jay Dee - I would start with Retin A of some sort at night and a Vitamin C serum in the morning. what you choose is going to depend upon your skin type - very important. Copper Peptides are also highly regarded. You would use these at night also - probably alternate with the Retin A or do three nights of one and then three nights of the other.

You could put an anti-aging cream over your vitamin C after it soaks in. I love Karin Herzog products (VK2 for me) and also Remergents DNA repair.

Like Keliu said - there are lots of options out there.

My favorite alternatives for great skin are these:
Prolight LED therapy - great for the skin

Flex Effect for firming and toning.

Supplements and Vitamins and Water religiously

sunscreen - a BIG MUST

Have fun with all this. Welcome.

Agree with Keliu and Sister Sweets. Retin A, Vitamin C, Remergent DNA, plenty of sunscreen, lots of water, flex effect although I am just getting the hang of it and eating right with MSM and Vitamin C orally.

Also if you are worried about hyperpigmentation make sure you do not put any products that have soy that does not have the estrogen component taken out. I am living proof that Leslie Baumann knew what she was talking about in her book the, the Skin Type Solution book. I used products that had soy and my brown spots kept coming back and it was a never ending battle. Now that I am soy estrogen free, no more spots. Moisturizer........Aveeno positively radiant. Inexpensive, SPF of 30, no spots, and can save my money for more costly products like the vitamin C, ect.

Hope this helps.

Oh and still on the fence about the copper peptides but do love the Dr. Graff copper peptide infusion masque from HSN. Gives my face a glow.

JayDeeIX I love Kate Somervilles Deep Tissue Repair. I noticed a difference the first night I used it. I have used it for about 2 years now. You may want to give that one a try.
