Just realised that I still have plenty of space in my bathroom cabinet and felt I needed to fill the gap... Cool I really would like a chemical type peeling product, like Dermalogica Microfoliant. Actually tried a sample of this today and loved the feeling, but I want to know what else is out there before I buy.

So, what do you use? And how often??

Aurora,
I recently received a sample of Natura Bisse's 50% glyco peeling serum and ended up purchasing despite the price($160). You use this after cleansing for 15 minutes twice a week for 4-6 weeks and the results are amazing. After the 2nd or 3rd use I did start peeling and didn't like that, but the "new" skin is absolutely flawless. It stings when you put it on, but does not burn - they claim this is due to their formula. They do have a 25% formula that I would assume would be more appropriate for someone with sensitive skin. This is one of those products that you really do get the bang for your buck! Smooth, beautiful skin.

Daily Microfoliant from Dermalogica is not a chemical peel. It is a product that uses enzymes to dissolve keratinized, dead skin cells. Chemical peels can only be performed by clinics, dermatologists, etc.

These types of products are best used once per week, with the exception (of course) of the aforementioned daily product. Some other products to consider: Phytomer Peeling Vegetable Enzyme Mask, Decleor Phytopeel, Yonka Gommage, Jan Marini SKin Zyme Papaya Mask, or DDF Surface Peel Cream.

Of the products you listed, are any recommended for agespots or hyperpigmentation? I really want to try something gentler before resorting to laser treatments.

I have dry, slightly sensitive skin, and the Daily Microfoliant has become a staple. I use it twice a week, and is left with soft, glowing skin. It has a tendency to dry skin out a bit, so I don't use it more often.

Aurora - what exactly do you mean by a peeling product? One that actually MAKES your skin peel off (pardon my ignorance) or a cream exfoliant that you just wash off afterwards? I'm not quite sure what you mean because I have the Microfoliant and would not classify it as a peeling product but rather a gentle enzyme exfoliant Question Pevonia makes a good exfoliating mask though that you just wash off after a few minutes....

Sorry, seems I've explained myself exceptionally bad in my post:)

What I'm actually looking for is an exfoliant to brighten my complexion. I've tried and liked dermalogicas microfoiliant, but just wanted to know what else is out there, masks, toner etc.
