We are planning to have a baby next year, and now I am using Valmont lines.

I just wanna know, can I continue it when I have a baby, or I should shop it and when?

Thanks very much!

Well I am using the 24 hour cream and the DNA repair serum during my pregnancy. they are almost gone now and I am not going to reorder as I am not very impressed by the results, but I don't think they have any harm to my baby.

pomme, do you have any ingredients in Valmont line in mind, so you think it`s better to stop using it?

I am not an expert but I think most Valmont products should be ok, or you can always consult your doctor.

Well they're not going to alter DNA or anything (cuz they can't...)

But I might worry about the triclosan.

Way back when when I was pregnant, I tried to reduce my exposure to any unnecessary chemicals --dietary and topical exposure--on the theory that they *might* get into the bloodtream and past the placenta and *might* be harmful. That's a wildly over-cautious approach, I realize, but it seemed to me that it was certainly true that we didn't (and don't and won't ever) know everything about what kind of environmental conditions could harm developing fetuses, and I would sleep better knowing that I had done everything I could to avoid later-discovered-to-be-harmful things. Plus, it's only nine months--not much time to forego these things. Think about taking a "vacation" from active skincare (and put the money you save into baby stuff, which costs almost as much as skincare!)

Totally agree with flitcraft, even though I would take a more lax way. The point is, if you think you are not gonna sleep well if you use certain skin care or eat certain food, then do not use or eat it. It is not only about the ingredients that would reach the baby; your mental state matters a lot too. Smile
