Rileygirl, did your sleep crease under your eyebrow ever go away, after completing Obagi, and with time? Just curious.

Amonavis, No! Sad it has not gone away yet. I am not sure it ever will, but if I find anything that works, I'll let you know!

a wrinkle is a wrinkle...period. Always sleep on your back, never sleep on your side it will give you wrinkles. You might want to try a filler to plump it up.I had the permanent filler artefill in my nasal area....its been over a yr and holding....

I guess so... I just thought a wrinkle that develops in a day could go away easier than one that develops over years and years.... oh well Sad I have one too, but im drenching the thing in Retin A 0.1 % 2 times a day. I prefer to take a harsh approach Bad Grin

Hi. It is so HARD to sleep on my back but I know that is the best thing for my face. I try to compensate by sleeping on 2 pillows so my head is elevated and my face is not puffy when I wake up. If I had to choose between a good night's sleep on my side vs a poor one on my back.. anyway maybe I can train myself. Does anyone have any strategies that work?

Hey all,

I've got prominent sleep creases on either side of my nose from years of sleeping on my side and stomach with my face squashed into the pillow.

I changed to sleeping on my back about a month ago, but have yet to notice any difference.

For pressure-induced wrinkles like sleep creases, what are the chances of reducing them when you remove the pressure source?

Thanks,

Jamie

Do they ever go away? No. Even if you try to sleep on your back (or head for that matter) they are there to stay unless you use a filler Sad

*edited* to add that I sure sound pessimistic today. sorry

I recommend investing in a silk or satin pillowcase so that you can avoid the problem all together and all future instances.

A few months ago I followed the advice that Clarkebar511 posted here in November. I went to A Touch Of Satin and bought a set of satin pillowcases. Now, I don't wake up with pillow lines anymore and my hair is real healthy. My Mom said the same thing about satin. I just love the way it feels on my face and neck.

A Touch Of Satin's website had a page devoted to the benefits of sleeping on satin. They also have quite a selection of pillowcases. You might want to google them and read what they have to say.

Thanks so much for the recommendation. I am now a believer. If you're going to spend eight hours every night sleeping, you might as well get a pillowcase that's great for your skin and your hair.

Thanks EDS for so many great subjects and such great advice.

I am using the Cupron pillowcase. This topic reminds me it may help this problems because I had ugly sleep creases before I started using it.

Dear Milbader, I have been using Cupron pillowcase for half year now. Before I found it, my skin was usually dry when I wake up at the second day. I thought the ordinary pillowcase absorbing a certain portion of my skincare products. This situation never came back again after I started using Cupron. As I don't have wrinkles and fine lines on the face, I can't tell you how it can improve the apprearance of the wrinkle. My husband's cow feets look better.

They actually can turn into permanant wrinkles. The solution is to keep moisture in your skin at night. Silk pillowcases or satin are not designed to do this. I am a nurse in a dermatologists office and I recommend the DreamSkin pillowcase which is physician formulated specifically for skin care. Our patients never wake up with sleep creases and their skin is smoother. There are no dangerous coppers, chemicals or creams in the fabric, it's an advanced wicking technology fabric and the fibers hydrate Naturally.

I absolutely cannot sleep on my back. If I do, I go into Sleep Paralysis every, single, time. So no sleeping on my back for me.

I get deep "sleep lines" under my eyes during deep sleep that did turn into permanent wrinkles. I completely removed them by wearing 1/4 of a Scar Away patch under my eyes every night. Here is what the Scar Away looks like:

Image

There are also Scar Away sheets that are bigger and/or longer, depending on what you need. They have long ones that I would use if I had issues with Nasolabial folds or some such.

They are totally comfortable; I don't feel them at all at night and they do not get too hot or anything like that.

I have a "Subscribe and Save" order for the 1.5" X 3" Scar Away sheets from Amazon. I wash them three times before discarding them. I tried another wash, but found they didn't stick very well after that many washes. But three washes and they stick well. They actually seem a bit stickier after washing than when they are new.

In any case, I completely removed my "sleep line wrinkles" by using these under my eyes every night during sleep.

Thank you! How long did you use the scar away until it took the lines away?

Not Angela but I think she mentioned using them "for well over a year" on page 2 of this thread: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?p=6514543&highlight=#6514543 HTHs!

I bought a pillow at the A4M conference ergonomically designed for sleeping on your side or back. The purpose is to stop facial creasing and promote a more healthful sleeping position. It is called EnVy. It is memory foam and has a bamboo pillowcase. I am in love with my new pillow.
