I live overseas and currently I heard that a friend in US has passed away. I've tried to call his cellphone, but there was no answer. I didnt know any of his friends or family in US and cannot be able to find out. I am starting to worry... is there a way for me to check if one is still alive (or dead) in US online?!

| The only way I've ever been able to find out info like that is by googling the local paper where they live and going to the obit section... good luck I certainly hope this is not the case! |

but since i havent seen that friend for more than a year, that would mean that i've to browse 365 newspaper at least!  |

| Actually, daydreamingda, all you have to do is type the persons name in your search engine andit will pull up an obit if one has been printed anywhere- most helpful if you know the persons middle name or initial, but if not just know you may have to wade through a lot of other people. |
