Hi Annie,
I hope you got a better understanding of the milia issue, there is a lot of info on this forum regarding this and how to combat it so I hope you find help.
Regarding your enlarged pores, have you always had them or is it just a recent occurence that you've noticed ? Depending on your skin type, it could be due to excessive oil build-up, or dehydrated skin. I learnt that people with oilier skin have bigger pores as more oil is produced and let out through the pores so using products geared at oily skin would help to clear and reduce the pores.
I have dry/ combo skin that tends to get dehydrated and notice that my pores are more visible when this happens. Keeping up a good cleansing/ moisturising/ protecting regime as well as keeping myself well hydrated really helps.
Hope you find all the help you can get from this forum, it's the best !! Good luck |

thanks summer and toe for your reply. Yes i've always had oily skin, and large pores. It seems though that just recently my pores though have gotten larger, plus they look clogged, wouldn't think so since i'm in my 40's.
I thought steam would help open them up, but then what, how do I clean them out?
also does anyone know of a good skin care line that targets this problem?
thanks annie |

Annie,
Definitely read up about the millia. There has been plenty of advice about how to get rid of it here so just do a search on 'millia' and you'll find heaps of info.
In terms of the enlarged pores, you just need a good deep cleansing mask. Try something like the Dr Hauschka Cleansing Clay mask, or some other mask based on clay. Also, you can use a night treatment that decongests and clears out the pores. Decleor Essential Balm would be a good natural choice, but there are also good products with Glycolic acid in them that could be helpful (e.g. Jan Marini Bioglycoil Bioclear Lotion).
HTH
