What's a good concealer to cover up acne scars and blemishes? *suitable for combo, severely acne-prone skin

I've tried Laura Mercier's Secret Camouflage and I'm currently using MUFE Full Cover Extreme Concealer, but maybe it's gone bad 'cause it doesn't seem to cover like it use to.

I'm using Judith August for about half a year now. Everything pencil is just amazing. I use it mainly on my dark circles and blemishes.

I have quite a few good concealers (Mirenesse is my recent favourite) but when it comes to covering up pimples, blemishes, particularly on acne-prone skin, I would suggest using a mineral makeup powder (or mineral concealer powder) and dotting that on with a fine tipped brush. Alternatively, use a pencil type concealer (BeneFit, surprisingly, has a very good one) and dot that on. The reason I suggest primarily MMU with a fine brush is that my experience has been that the creamier/liquid concealers rub off the pimple as you try to blend the concealer in. With MMU, you're using something that is non pore blocking and allows you to have a really targeted and natural application. HTH

I agree with Mabsy about the MMU---- it doesn't rub off the same way that creams will, it won't clog your pores, and IMO it looks more natural too. My go-to concealer right now is "Sand" from Alima:

I apply it with an Alima concealer brush (I've found that tiny, synthetic bristle brushes work the best) and it works like a dream!!

Bare Escentuals Bare Mineral Makeup is amazing. It really gives you that airbrush look like they claim.

I use Giorgio Armani's High Precision Retouch and it's been great
I also use Laura mercier's secret camouflage on top of the really hard to cover ones... you might want to give the Retouch a try to work with your Secret camouflage

I couldn't agree more about using MMU concealer. I use EDM to cover the blemishes over MMU makeup (concealer on TOP of foundation, not the other way). Cream concealer never works on my zits. And I think the MMU helps dry it out

One of the best that I've used is Dior's Hydrating concealer - that sucker will cover anything and has great staying power. I even heard of someone using it as a foundation (kind of a pricey way to use it, but to each his/her own). Another plus for me is that even though I have sensitive/acne-prone skin, I didn't find this to break me out, although everyone is different, so this may not be the case for you. The biggest problem with that concealer for me was that it doesn't come in many colors =( It's also pricey, but the tube lasts forever.

Right now I'm experimenting with MUFE's Camouflage Cream Palette. It doesn't stay as well as Dior's IMO, but I like that I can mix to match my skin tone. Also, it is creamier than Laura Mercier's Secret Camouflage Concealer, so if you liked LM, this might be an option for you.

YSL's concealer is good for me. I used it on my dark circle and flecks, well, it works great.

I love this too, and I've recently bought benefit's powder concealer which makes it really stay put. You need the YSL underneath, though

I use BE Bisque. I don't know if it's how it works on everyone's skin, but on me, it goes on sort of powdery and turns to a creamier consistency as it blends in. My only complaint is that it's a bit too pink for my natural skintone, but seems to blend okay when I cover it with my Jane Iredale shade.

i use the concealer from MAC that comes in the little pot. I find it really conceals blemishes because it is quite thick

Skinflash by Dior is my favorite. It covers good and have a light formula that melts into the skin and makes it look really natural.

I use Vichy or Benefit's pencil like concealer. They both have BHA and zits dry up really fast when I apply these type of concealers.
