This may sound like a stupid question, but I was really wondering this last night when I was doing my Ageless exercises - how quickly/slowly do you count to 10? Is it more of a "one thousand one, one thousand 2," or just 1,2,3 etc? Overall, it could make a pretty big difference in how long each exercise is.

i think that's a good question that many people probably have. For me the speed of the count just depends on what i'm in the mood for, or where i need xtra help. Sometimes i go for the harder work out (which would be 1/1000)- but a faster count is still gonna give you a decent work out. I think when someone is new to facial excercise, a somewhat quicker count makes more sense because you probably can't feel the muscle yet and also because the muscle will fatique faster- it's a process - the more you do it, the more you know what to do -

Are you guys taking advantage of the sentences LL wrote under each of the exercises, that correspond to the timing of reps count?

LouLou;
I have said this before on your site but I want to repeat it here.

I have been doing your program for just over a week and I already see improvement in my face.

My one questin is, my hands get tired and I have trouble getting through the whole 20, is this normal? Maybe my hands are just weak and it will improve over time.

Thank you again LouLou!!

Yes, and I do use those, but I'm pretty sure (unless I'm missing it) that on the Crush exercise (which I think is her very best exercise -love it!) that you do 20 reps for a count of 10 each. That's where my confusion came in, not on all of them, because the sentence are truly helpful and make it really simple.

LOL, kassy, i do use that, but totally FORGOT when replying to charis's post...
probably because, i must confess, the phrases are so short compared to the "count" i'm used to "holding" that i only use the phrase count when i'm in a rush.. Embarassed

Oh, I am just on the same page with you, Belle. I have also started the exercises just a week ago & BTW my hands get tired quickly too, so I have to pause and do them in sections, but the muscles of the hands will get used to the exercises too as all the muscles normally do and the grip will be even better.

LAst night I went to do hair and my stylist asked me basically "what's up with the face? I asked her: "what do you see?" she said: "it looks fuller" She'd had no idea about my plans of self-improvement, but now I told her about LouLou's book. It is so rewarding to know that it's not just in my eyes and I am not imagining the change it is really noticeable.

Hi Charis,
I asked loulou the same question on her board, she said you don't need to hold for ten seconds on crush, just say something like "firm smooth cheeks" with each repitition. Hope this helps..

Hi Antonia, could you tell me which exercises are helping your upper lip? I'd love to improve that area. Thanks a lot..

Im loving the quickness of these exercises. Its been about a week and a half for me. I have defined cheekbones and this morning I caught a glance from a distance and thought they looked sharper...even more defined. woo hoo.

I also look like a tramp as ive gripped my neck skin so firmly its bruised and I look like I have a love bite. My neck skin is reasonably tight so when I grip it and raise my chin its very tight and I guess my grip was too tight.

I remember when I purchased this I saw somewhere that you can watch a basic video on how to do the exercises. Does anyone know where to find this video? I just want to make sure I do the exercises right before I start.

Thanks so much! I can't wait to try it. I read a few of the post, but everyone was raving about it and for $10 I got suckered in Smile.

I downloaded the Ageless book on Jan. 9th and started the exercises the following week. I wanted to give it a fair run before I posted and the verdict is…this is THE BEST beauty money I have ever spent.

I was approaching my 50th birthday this year and was looking for something to address the facial sag. I’d started using Retin-A a few months ago and it improved the texture of my skin but did nothing for the tone. I found this BB and started reading the LED and Dermarolling threads. Both required a bigger financial investment than I could make. I am so grateful to Bethany for directing me to this thread. I don’t know why I didn’t think about facial exercises as I am a gym rat and work out 5-6 times a week, alternating aerobics and weight training. As well I had done Facial Magic (on VHS) about 12 years ago for about 2 years.

In fact when I downloaded Ageless and started doing the exercises I dug out the white cotton gloves that came with the FM program and it made the holds much easier. I work from home so I do my exercises in front of the computer with the book open in front of me and LouLou’s video on the screen. When doing the holds I rest my elbows on the desk so I don’t have the problem of tired arms.

I do ALL the exercises every day, including the alternatives. I do them 5 days a week and usually take the weekends off. I was going to stick to LouLou’s suggested schedule but once I started I just kept going. As in the gym, I love the feeling of tired fully worked muscles.

I do each exercise deliberately and as intensely as possibly, making sure to anchor the muscles being worked for maximum effect. Anyone who does weight training will have an appreciation for controlled, deliberate working of the muscle. I do 'think' the phrases suggested for each hold as well as the number of reps (10 or 20 depending on the exercise). After the exercises I do the massage. My face muscles do ache a bit afterwards but it doesn’t last long.

On the occasional day that I can’t do all the exercises I make sure to at least do all the cheek-related exercises (1-6). This is the area I’m concentrating on the most – as per LouLou’s excellent explanation in the chapter Why the Cheeks Lift Everything. I haven’t particularly noticed that ‘tired’ look from over-exercising mentioned by some.

My results: My hollowed out drooping cheeks are starting to fill out. The ‘Crush’ is giving me the much-needed contour under the cheek. My forehead is noticeably tighter and eyebrows are starting to lift (not there yet). The hollows under my eyes are diminishing – probably due to both The 'Wish' and the cheek exercises. I find myself actually pulling back my face during the day (similar to pulling in one’s abs while standing). It has made me more aware of the muscles beneath the facial skin and how much control I really have over them. Gym devotees will understand this awareness. I know I have a long way to go but I am absolutely commited.

The only reason this program would not work for someone is if they haven’t bought it or don’t commit to it. Thank you LouLou for sharing this great program so affordably

I have a heart face shape, so my cheekbones is already too high and wide for my liking. I do have too much fat on my cheek/jawline though. With that said, which exercise number should I avoid to make my checkbones any wider or higher? I just want to hollow out and make my face skinner. thanks

I have started the program for more than a week and really like it. I think I look better than before, and hoping someone can give me some nice comment. I am doing 2-days exercises all together every night.

Well, here I am after doing the exercises for almost three months now. I must say I overdid it at some point, exercising every day without leaving any time in between, and, indeed, after the initial positive effects I got the tired look for a while. These last few days, though, everything is coming to place.

The main reason I decided to try Ageless was my concern of sagging setting in, specifically jowls, because otherwise my skin is good.

However other major changes have taken place: the chin has the cute heart shape it had when I was really young (that was one of the first things I noticed), the cheekbones look much more defined (especially when I smile), the jowls have "pulled back" - if you know what I mean - the eyes look open and alert and yesterday I noticed those two ridges between lips and nose looked much more pronounced.

The result is that my face overall looks open, happy, and thin in a good way.

I feel so empowered! Thanks Loulou and thank you all ladies who have inspired me with your stories of success!

I hate to complain but...I have bookmarked the link & it is helpful but boy is it ever hard to see. Maybe a couple of new videos could be done with all of the $$$ that this thread has spent for the book. Sound would be nice too. (I would even pay for a dvd that I could see better.) I guess the ones already there are (sort of) better than none Wink

RuthMarion, I think Loulou is working on a higher quality one now. She posted the one she did because people were begging for her to because they were having difficulty understanding some of the exercises - so she quickly put together "an amateur" video as a courtesy. I think a professional one will be available in the future.
