Recently I posted about how you youngins have to take care of your necks. Our neck is eventually the first thing that gives away our age.
I am now using all facial products on neck and chest area.
Do we need to use a special neck product? Has anyone switched to a neck cream and noticed a much better response then using facial products on neck. Or, are neck creams just another way to get us to spend more $$$$? |

I do as you, Winnie, and use my facial products on my neck. I don't really see the need for special products for my neck. I don't think I would purchase any because most likely it would never be used... I like to keep my skincare regime as simple as I can... |

I've been treating my neck with the same products I use on my face for many years and I've still developed a few lines, not terrible lines but ones I'd gladly give away. I just started on ADCE and am interested to see how that works but if Winnie is asking the question, as much as you love ADCE Winnie, there might be something better for the neck area, right? I'd love to hear what everyone else, especially the over 50 crowd, does on their neck.
BTW:I know this sounds crazy but after just 2 applications of ADCE, I actually see a difference in my newest line...I can't believe it |

Nanapost,
ADCE and Prep helped my neck a lot! I lost a lot of weight and everything went south. I am grateful for this product everyday. My neck now: it doesn't look like a typical 60 year old neck but I still want improvement. Maybe I am asking too much. My neck is very thin. Just have a very tiny gully from under the chin half way down neck. My neck looks like a pencil neck....you can see all the ligaments running down it.
Hey, if I could keep things the way they are now I will be very happy.
Now, take it slow with you new product. I can almost bet you will say the firmness is the most dramatic improvement. Please keep me posted. When I recommend a product to someone I always get a tad nervous. My guess is that in a couple of weeks you will be delighted. |

You don't have to be nervous because I am on the autoship and can cancel any time. Annd if it doesn't live up to my expectations, I'll just cancel and try another product. |

Sats,
Tell us more about you. The product you should be using depends on your age and skin type.

I'm 42 and reading this post makes me conscious with my neck -- I used a Shiseido Skin Care line for my moisturizer (day) and Anew (Avon)at nite ... As Nanapost have mention that she's using the same product on her face, which moisturizer/cream is better to use on the neck? - the day (Shisiedo) or the nite cream (Anew by Avon)?
And if there's a specific cream to use for the neck, I would like to try a sample, any recommendations? |

I am 59. For Dabawenya62 I stongly suggest that you start caring for your neck: Cleansing, toning and moisturizing just as you do your face. There is still hope for you. If you are using the Anew CLINICAL line I think that would be great for your neck. Again, the neck will most likely be the first part of you that will give away your age.
SATS you have plenty of time to stay gorgeous!!! Decide on the skin care line that you will be using and include you neck in whatever you will be using.
I don't really know if we need a special cream for our necks. Is it just another way for us to buy another jar of cream
It makes sense that if you are over 40 to use a firming cream on your face and neck.
Besides my ADCE, I am waiting for my Esthers Secret firming mask. It just might be what I need to put the frosting on the cake. |

like everybody else, i don't use a specific neck cream... i pretty much just extend my facial routine onto the neck region... however, i found that some tips that a facialist pointed out to me years ago help ...
1) regularly scrub the neck lines will help diminish/lighten up their appearances and easier for the area to absorb products that you put on later - apply the facial scrub along the neck lines and gently message with a tiny circular motion (sorta like drawing a spring horizontally) for a few minutes...
2) when apply any products onto the neck region, use the upstroke motion to lift...
3) try not to bend your head forward and stay in that position for a long time (i know i do and that's how i got my lines in the first place... for studying long period all the time )... exercise neck muscle by bending the head backward and saying "EEEE" helps, too...
just wandering has anyone have any luck with any neck products?? i've recently tried a sample of Jurlique Neck Cream... it does make the skin around my neck soft and supple, but the lines are still there |

I use the same products on my neck that I use on my face. That would include a gentle cleanser, gentle toner, my ES argireline serum with hyaluronic acid, etc., after that soaks in for about 5 min. I apply a day or a night moisturizer to all except my forehead.
2 to 3 times a week I use the ES firming masque and I do believe it has helped my neck area, in addition to several other areas on my face.
I really appreciated the tips on rubbing the cleanser into the lines, etc. That something I can add without adding aproduct or adding too much additional time to my routine.
Winnie and I have compared neck info. I'll be anxious to hear how the firming masque works for her neck since I know that's a serious issue with her. My neck tissue seemed to "droop" much more before I began using the firming masque on a regular basis.

Its AlphaDerma CE, one of the 3 argileine products talked about a lot around here. The other 2 are Relaxaline and Esthers Secret. I just started on the AD so we'll see how it goes. |
