I have several vertical upper lip lines that are bugging me. I had Botox injected by my derm - she was pushing that rather than fillers at the time, but that wore off. I am wondering what anyone's experience has been with banishing these awful little boogers once and for all....
I use retinoids and vit c but that hasn't helped these lines at all.
Go for fillers or go for a peel or what?
help! |

I don't know of anything, but I will be watching this thread as I have the ULL's, as well. I know that the RA and topical C reduces them, but I have not found anything topical yet that will obliterate them! The Lips2Kiss system helps to a degree, but it did not get rid of all of mine. I am trying the dermaroller, but I have not had any results with that, yet! They are really tough to deal with. |

Arghh! The dreaded lip lines.. Here's what *helps* in my experience..
- Quit smoking
- Drink out of 'wide' mouth water bottles
- Small mouth Vaculifter agressively moved horizontally back and forth about 100 times a day.. Oil up good, and firmly curl the upper lip around the teeth. |

Peace & Hugs to all.♥ |

http://www.californiaskinlaser.com/sculptra.htm I believe sculptra would help,hope you can open this,sculptra is an amazing wrinkle reducers,its not a filler what it does is stimulate(over the course of 6 weeks) collagen formation to fill in your wrinkles.If you get the right injector it can really rejuvenate your appearance.,it can help the vertical lines and is supposed to last 2 years. |

Girl, where haz u bin hidin?
Nanci sells all 4 sizes of Vaculifter's, but the "small face" does the trick for VLL.. Here's the link, and she might still have the video on it too;

Here's a very good thread on "Cupping Massage" compliments of 'mpstat' with a ton of info, reviews.. etc.. (Give it a bump, it's been neglected lately)

Just an FYI from my experience, I can't use the 'V' on my face (cheeks/chin) because it makes my broken caps 10 times worse, but it honest to Gawd does a really good job on the dreaded VLL! |

Thanks lucyluc, I will look into the Sculptra. I'm thinking it will be a challenge to find the right injector....most everyone around here is pushing Juvederm. But definitely worth looking into. I'm sure I want to find someone who has excellent results since it lasts 2 years!!
HaHa Kassy, yeah I have the same problem with broken capillaries, but I'm hoping the Retin-A will help thicken the skin and help with that. I am doing LouLou's exercises - the "fishmouth" might be working, but too soon to tell yet. Thanks for the input! |
