Could someone please recommend an eye cream that has at least some effect! I feel like I have used everything! Currently I am using Glycolix and I am not seeing any results. I need something for fine lines and crepiness on the eye lid. Something that firms and gets rid of puffiness. I would appreciate any help!!! |

Nowadays i would recommend argan oil, or rosehip seed oil (also i heard good stuff about pomegranate oil), you could also make a mixture of these potent anti-aging oils.
Before going more towards natural skincare, i used and liked RoC Retin-Ox Correxion eye cream, with which i saw improvements on the fine lines around my eyes. |

I agree with cora-lu on the argan oil. I have been using Kaeline's Argabaume Night Balm around my eyes and on my smile lines and I feel it has really helped reduce wrinkles and make the skin more supple. All Kaeline's skin care is base on organic argan oil and it is not greasy. I also like their Fermete for an all over night treatment first and then I apply the balm on my more problematic areas. |

Thank you, i found them now also on lovelula.com. What i don't understand is the price. I got organic, cold-pressed argan oil for about £8.50 per 50ml (from Materia Aromatica, soil association certified) , while Kaeline sells for £24 on lovelula, for the same amount. The bottle is indeed nicer, but still... Or maybe i am missing something? |

You can purchase Kaeline in the USA via Xandra Renouvelle. I am newer here so I can't post the link but you can just use XandraRenouvelle between the www and com and get directly to the site. The Kaeline pure Argan Oil is listed at $46 USD.
I looked the at other sites your referenced for the less expensive version and it appears that the company selling it (UK) is providing raw ingredients at wholesale for people who may wish to blend their own skin care concoctions for personal use or resale. Kaeline offers a full professional line and it is a high end brand. While I am sure it does cost more for packaging, there is a significant cost to import it into the USA. I can't speak for that brand but I have tried other argan oil in the USA and found that they either had a stronger odor or seemed to be cut with other carrier oils. Neither is the case with Kaeline. To me it is the difference between what one may find in Walgreens or CVS vs. an Aveda or Kiehls, or the better brands carried by Spas and Department stores. I am sure there some comparable ingredients or in some cases but I have found, generally speaking, you get what you pay for. Maybe I am just brand loyal but I haven't found a whole line of argan oil based products of this quality anywhere else. |

Thank you, GreenDiva. I understand your point of view, i am also rather skeptical when i see prices that are too low.
It could well be that Kaeline has a very high quality argan oil, or that the postage/packaging prices to get argan to the US contribute to their final selling price (i was only looking at the pure argan oil they sell, not at the other products). I am in the UK, that's why i was looking at lovelula And i am indeed trying to make my own concoctions But... sometimes with more, other times with less success. It's good to know about good quality products, so thank you again for recommending this line. |

I used the L'occitane Olive Express Eye Treatment before. It could minimize the appearance of puffiness and dark circles and it suits my skin type well. |

I don't think oil is good for puffiness just for dryness |

Probably not, thankfully i've not had problems with puffiness, so i don't know much about it. Though, from what i understand, it can be a sign of water retention (check also ankles), allergies, or even hypothyroidism. So better to get these checked and out of the way, before any topical application can help. |

Thank you everyone for your responses. I used to use all natural products that I made myself, including the oils that you mentioned. Then I started reading about all of these "actives" such as matrixyl, DMAE, Kinetin, etc. and I thought that these products would be better than the oils. I guess I was wrong because I have not had any success with any of the commercially made products to date. I guess I will go back to the natural products! Thanks again for your suggestions. |

I find that most of the eye creams that help puffiness are not good for wrinkles, and vice versa. Usually the ones for puffiness are non irritating gels which dont contain harsh actives that could help with wrinkles. And a lot of eye creams for wrinkles are so creamy that they make puffiness worse. Its easy to spend thousands trying to find the perfect eye cream. I therfore use a light gel for puffiness during the day, and apply a low strengh retin A in my eye area in the night, over which I apply a cream. I also have Origins no puffery gel mask which I keep for emergencies after a bad night or a late night. It helps a lot with the puffiness. |

I agree...most eye gels that are used to reduce puffiness are drying because they are meant to tighten the skin. I have found a couple that I like and that work to reduce the puffiness, my problem is the crepiness on the lids and crows feet I did read an interesting post the other day on a different forum. A doctor (Dr.Pickart) from skinbiology recommended hemorrhoid cream over his copper serum. He said that the ingredients in the hemorrhoid cream would help the copper penetrate the eye area. I think I may try this and see what happens!? It's worth a try since nothing has worked for me and I am a product junkie |

I'm a product junkie too. Is there a support group for us? haha. But speaking of HEMORRHOID cream, I have heard some good things about this. Too bad i'm too embarassed to actually buy it! Apparantly some models use it before a shoot if they are puffy with all the partying they do. I AM tempted to try it. If anyone has tried it, please let us know! |

Try Sisley eye and lip contour cream. You can usually get a sample of it at the Sisley counter. It is amazing, and the only eye cream I have found worth the money. |

Very good for skin health and fine lines though it does take time for most to see changes (as in months). Trilogy and Kosmea have good rosehip oils and Nature's Gift has a nice one too. |
