They must have some kind of deal with Chanel. I think there are lots of other products better than all that Chanel they have listed.

Yeah I noticed that too! I agree that Avene has some list-worthy items, but most of what I've tried of Chanel has been over-fragranced and over-priced - a lot of pretty packaging and not much active ingredients!

I do love reading lists though Fang! thanks for posting!

Laughing I was just thinking that! I would buy some of Chanel's makeup products, but not their skin care products.

Agreed - We don't think of Chanel as a skin care powerhouse but I'll bet you anything they are a big advertiser at Elle! Laughing

I would like to see more "alternative brands" in these competitions. It always seems to be more high street names.

I don't agree about a single winner on this list. Chanel, Dior, and Clarins products are way too perfumed for me, and I can think of numerous better products in every category.

I think it is interesting that Elle listed Chanel and Dior for most of their choices as well as some of the others which happen to be their clients that advertise in their magazine.

Oh, you are so cynical. As if Elle would be influenced by their advertising revenue Wink

I do like the Chanel lip pencils, but other than that, the only Chanel I put on my face is their sunglasses Cool

I really wonder how they come up with this "list." I wouldnt place much weight in it. Id be more interested in what dermatologists recommend.

I don't use it but... Cetaphil's just the stereotypical recommendation from dermatologists. So you're already following the advice of dermatologists Smile

The Chanel Mascara that's rated the best one isn't that great unless you use a good mascara primer beforehand because it's wet and weighs down the lashes (curl disappears). Sad

I prefer no primer since it simplifies my routine.
