I have it. I've been using Retin-A Cream 0.1% for about a year and in comparison I find the gel much stronger. It also makes my skin quite dry so I can't use it everyday.

But why is it making your eyes red? Are you applying it too close to your eye? You should not be putting Retin-A on your eyelid at all. You can put it on the orbital bone but if your eyes are irritated just keep it well away from the entire eye area.

I find the cream is less irritating, and usually for wrinkles people use the cream. For acne they use the gel. Although it is still OK to use to gel for wrinkles if you have oily skin. Make sure you only use the size of a pea for your whole face to cut down on irritation, and consider getting the cream next time!

I use the .1% RA gel from ADC without any ill effect whatsoever...Wierd as it seems, I actually find it moisturizing .. Confused

As Keliu said, only put a little on the orbital bone. Or avoid the eye area altogether.

Retin-A takes some getting used to if you never used it before.. You might want to start with the .25% cream and just work up to the .5%. Also, you can see if every other night works better for you.

Do you think Retin-A Micro is better tolerated than the Retin-A cream for those of us with normal photoaged skin?

I've never used it, but yes, it is supposed to be much better for those with sensitive skin. If you have normal skin I would try the cream - you could start off with a low percentage and then work your way up.

I'm using the Retin A gel from ADC also and dont find it too drying.I apply to clean and dry skin and on my orbital bone taking care not to get too close to my eyes. It seems to sink in quickly.

There are many Retin A brands in the market, I wonder if they are all the same? Using the same formula?

The important thing is that it contains tretinoin, the active ingredient. The "base" or "delivery" system, ie: the inactive ingredients, may be slightly different depending on the brand. Also there are of course gel forms, cream forms, etc. Honesly, I wouldn't worry too much. If you are using it, you should see the benefits eventually. You can never go wrong with Retin-A brand in my opinion, it is tried and tested. But I am sure the other brands are fine too. You really just want that active ingredient on your skin!

Thank you all! I was just paranoid and the red eyes were from a head cold that was coming on.

My sister had a talk with me earlier that day telling me how dangerous it was to order stuff from out of the country and it scared me. Rolling Eyes
