Ok this is a silly quesion I guess. I just bought some fresh chicken thighs yesterday at the supermarket. The package says it doesnt expire until Dec 10! But it smells weird. Is raw chicken supposed to have an odour sometimes? Can you tell I dont cook much? lol |

I don't cook much either, but I can tell you that I do not eat anything that smells weird...no matter what the expiration date says! Every time I override my gut instinct, my gut pays for it big time. |

For sure!
And how about the customer that decides they don't want to buy that chicken after all, and leave it on a shelf, and a stock clerk comes along hours later, and puts it back in the meat case... |

EEEWWWWW!!! Kassy....thnx for that! NO! amonavis, I wouldn't eat it if it smelled funny! I've seen too many Meat is Murder and all the packing house horrors films by now and just can't do meat or fish unless I catch it and see its liver firsthand!!! No lie.
(Apologies to manslayerliz: I still wear leather shoes, but at least I don't eat my furry friends....does that count?) |
