I've always had a shiny t-zone, but after I started getting serious about facial exercises my skin has gotten oilier all over. Probably because of the increased circulation?
I know this is a good thing when it comes to wrinkles, but a very shiny face isn't really a great look IMO.
So could any of you ladies (or gentlemen of course) recommend a good mattifyer?
I almost never wear foundation so that's not what I'm looking for, just a lotion or serum I guess. |

I have looked high and low for this same thing and have finally found a product that works for me! It is called Degrease and can be found at the Terasita website and you can read lots of information about it and how it is not a quick fix, but really does work on regulating your skin. Hope you find something that works! |

i find for example light dusting of normal baby powder to be good to take any shine or grease away from the face |

I use a light moisturiser - Skinmedica Ceratopic, then OC8 oil absorbing lotion on the t-zone, wait about 5 mins for the moisturisers to dry, then dust a mixture of rice/silk powder and finish off with a cosmetic powder-- which is either silicon/nylon based (low talc) and I find that it keeps my skin matte, not just shine free, for 8+ hours. |

My t-zone is pretty oily as well so I always have oil-blotting papers on hand. I love shiseido's papers, they're super absorbant. Good luck |

The best mattifing product I've found and use is Super Matte Antishine by Face to Face Cosmetics. It's avaiable at Camera Ready Cosmetics and is used by alot of makeup artists, actors and actresses. I use the light or medium shade. The product is more like a lightly tinted gel so your safe if you pick the wrong shade. The color is not very noticable but the product really works to mattify.

In addition to many of these suggestions, Mac Prep and Prime spf 50 is a primer that gets lots of luv over on MUA from oily girls. I plan to check it out. |

Dermalogica oil control lotion i would rate 7/ 10
Ketsugo shine control gel 9/ 10
I have a really shiny t zone and these two products are very good.
I wouldnt recommend talc as it may block pores and cause black heads.
Let us know how you get on. |

The ZO Skin Health sunscreen makes your skin and matte and is a good primer, I just use powder over it but it sets it well. |
