Hi - I am a newbie to this forum and I am definitely challenged when it comes to good skin care practices.
I would be grateful to any suggestions regarding Dr Hauschka Daily Face Care Products.
I bought 2 kits from EDS - 1 trial kit for my daughter: Normal/Dry/Sensitive Skin and the Oily Skin Kit for myself.
I thought the kits would include instructions on when and how to apply the products but they did not. Now I am afraid that I have no clue as to how to apply, when to apply or how frequently to apply.
The kits contain these products:
Dry Sensitive Skin - Cleansing Cream, Cleansing Milk, Facial Toner, Moisturizing Day Cream, Rose Day Cream and Quince Day Cream
Oily Skin -Cleansing Cream, Clarifying Toner, Normalizing Day Oil, Facial Steam Bath, Cleansing Clay Mask and Rejuvenating Mask
As mentioned, I would be very grateful to any suggestions on a proper skin care regime. |

In the morning, wet your face and apply the cleansing cream. Put about 2 cm long of the paste onto your palm and then mix it with a few drops of water. Apply to face with a press and release motion (this is like a very gentle daily scrub) for about 2 minutes. Add in a few more drops of water during the process. Afterwards, wash away with water. Spray on some toner. Then you can put quince cream on for moisturization. Alternatively, put on Moisturizing Day cream and then Rose cream. It would be a more moisturizing choice and can be used on a particularly dried season.
The Cleansing Milk, it is for sensitive skin and make-up removal. So, you may apply Cleansing Milk first for a night cleansing regime and then followed by the Cleansing Cream. Apply toner, also. The skin-care concept of the brand however suggest that you do not put on creamy moisturizer at night to enable your skin to breathe and renew itself. |

The above is a daily practice suggested for normal/dry skin.
For oily skin, replace the facial toner with the clarifying toner. Also forget about the quince cream / moisturizing day cream + rose cream and replace with moisturizing day cream + normalizing day oil.
For weekly deep cleansing treatment, particularly on blemished skin, use face steam bath and clay mask. Put a tsp into hot water and cover with a towel for steaming. Mix a tsp of clay mask powder with a tsp of water, also a few drops of the toner and then apply to face. Wash away after 10-20 mins. Then apply the rejuvenating mask which can be a weekly treatment for any kind of skin. Leave for about 20 minutes and then wipe off with a warm cloth. Follow with toner and moisturizer. |

Alternatively you can lookup either on EDS or Dr. H website regarding what the products are for and how to use them.
Various day creams are for you to try and determine which one works best for you. |

Gaara and Zverenok - Thank you for responding. I am really excited to see if there will be a noticeable difference in our skin. |

I think you'll be really pleased with the Hauschka products. If you have drier skin, or it's drier in the winter, I'd recommend that you try mixing a drop of the normalizing day oil with a small amount of the rose or rose light day cream. Really fantastic. I love how simple my skin care routine is now. AND I truly have makeup-optional skin now! |

That's what I experienced as well - since having started using Dr.H products,
I have optional makeup - I don't really need it, and I get commented on how great my skin looks.
And my skin routine is simpler than ever
Rose day light cream, eye moisturizer,
and evening wash with rose water. |

His products are great and better than expected. Every product I've tried so far by him I have liked. |
