I am curious to know how soon after starting the 24 weeks obagi nuderm treatment results are apparent.
I have been using it for only one month and I already notice a positive change, I wonder if other people do as well or whether this is just my imagination when I look in the mirror! Almost like if I can't believe it's me!
The redness, peeling and flaking were bad, but I started using action and moisturizer in the eye area, as well as a lip balm, and stopped using the obagi spf 15 that comes with the kit as it was really irritating my skin, and it is so much easier now. I think changing to clear fx a couple of days ago also helped the skin irritation a lot, well something did.
I am also wondering if anyone else has used blender/tretenoin under the eyes and what was their experience and results with this? over what period of time?
Cheers |

Hi Oceanpearl, Congratulations on your positive result so far. Yeah, I'm so happy to hear that for I'm right behind you on the Nu-derm time line. This is my first week and unbelievably, I'm happy with it so far. Though red and a little flaky, I have yet to experience all the scariness that I have come to expect. It's probably just the honeymoon period. Anway, I'm sorry I don't mean to hi-jack your thread. I also have the same question about using Blender/Retinoid under the eye and hope that someone answers here. For my case, I plan to start it out just one time per week and move it up to 2-3 time during the Nuderm phase. For the other days and while on maintenance, I plan on using the ZO eye creme. I have tried the sample and liked it. To be honest though, I don't have much experience in eye-cream yet. So far, I only have very faint lines w/no wrinkles so this hasn't been my area of concern. I just figured I might as well start now as Nuderm program recommends using an eye creme, and it's probably best for the "long-term anti-aging" thing.
Best of luck, and please do post your eye regiment and result as I would love to hear about it. |

Hi! Well, I just started Jan 8th and I have had some redness and peeling as I expected,so that was ok, because I knew the stuff was working. I thought it was my imagination-that only after 2 weeks, I could see a big difference in tone and a slight reduction in my sun damaged areas. However, I had lunch with 2 friends today I hadn't seen since December, and they both said my skin tone and colour looks great-and they didn't know I started the Obagi Nu Derm;) So, I am super excited to see what the next weeks will bring-so far so AWESOME! I am so thrilled that in such a short timeframe, great things are happening:) Good luck to everyone else using the system! Oh-I am using the blender/retin A 0.05% under my eyes (every night) and for about 2 days I looked crepey, but now it is back to normal. I think it is important to use it under the eyes to help with fine lines etc...if your skin can tolerate it. So far I am lucky in that regard. |

Thanks for your responses.
And thanks for the thread.
I am using the blender/rA under the eyes only once or twice a week. I think I need to experiment with this a little bit more.
The rest of the treatment is going amazingly well even though it has been just one month. I am very impressed. Also getting compliments from other people.
So I am very pleased with obagi nuderm |

Welcome to the Obagi club ladies.
There is an Obagi forum on EDS that has reviews, questions and answers that you will find quite informative.
I, for one am so grateful to have found out about Obagi. I spent 9 months on Obagi as I had severe scarring, and now 95% of that has cleared and i do not need to wear make-up!
Blender & trenotin can be used under the eye area, but it is not for everyone. Some people can take it and some cannot. I am lucky that I can take it.
Good luck with your journey.. |

Oh, congratulations everyone. Sounds like Obagi has worked for everyone already. YEAH!!!
It's wonderful to have a thread of CURRENT Obagi users. I have been reading about past experiences of different users but for some reason, it feels very nice to know someone else is going through the same thing. Well, you are all ahead of me so it's even better in case I have questions. Yes, please let's update each others on our progress.
Lifecoach, this may sounds like a dumb question but can you please direct me to the forum for Obagi users? I have just been doing Search and going from thread to thread. Thanks for your help. |

On the EDS homepage, there is a list of all the brands to your left.
Click on Obagi, and then you will see a box of choices: click on "Obagi on our forum", and it will take you to all the posts everyone has ever made about Obagi.
If you cannot see the brand list to your left, you will find Obagi if you look right at the bottom of the page in alphabetical order.
Happy reading! |

Thanks for the link, lifecoach. However, when I click on it, all it does is take me to the Search Page, which I have done before. Humm, I wonder if I'm missing something. Anyhow, thanks for your help. |

I'm on week 16 1/2. I plan on doing 24 wks just to get the absolute best skin I can even though my skin currently looks great. Very even toned (freckles on nose and PIH from acne on chin), deep lines are reduced but not eliminated, smooth texture, etc. |

Hello
Don't you just love Obagi!!?? I am into my third month and I am amazed and thrilled of my results. The redness and peeling and looking like a lizard shedding it's skin is all worth it. I have severe hyperpigmenation from the sun and damage spots and that has all cleared up and my scars from acne are fading too. It's so nice to put on very little makeup and have flawless looking skin. Good luck with it, you will enjoy it. |

Yeah, current Obagians all gathered together!!
I started Jan. 1 so I am almost at the 4 week mark. I am super pleased as well and haven't found it to be as awful as I feared based on reading others' experiences. I was using .04% Retin A Micro for several months prior to starting Obagi so I am guessing that helped in my adustment to these products.
I have found the microfiber cloth (the waffle-weave one) from NCNProSkincare to be invaluable. I use it once a day to "erase" all of the flaking and peeling and then I am good to go. Some days, around dinner time, I have more peeling so I use the cloth lightly again. It is very gentle and makes me presentable.
I have only had one day where I felt uncomfortable out in public and that was the day the skin on my face got very tight (think shrink-wrapped!) and was about to peel. I got this weird wrinkling under my eyes and looked about 20 years older. Thankfully, that passed quickly.
I have already noticed a much more even texture to my skin. I have suffered from hormonal acne since I turned 40 (four years ago) and my acne is GONE! I have tiny, tiny breakouts on my forehead but they are minor and not inflamed. The breakouts I was having on my jawline and cheeks has disappeared completely and the constant red spots that required concealer have gone bye bye as well. Can you tell how happy I am?!
The only thing I don't like is the nasty taste I get in my mouth when I apply the Clear. It is strong and sickening to me and hard to take in the am, especially. Riley mentioned that she experienced that as well but I haven't seen others mention it so maybe it doesn't happen to all. It's gross though and I don't quite get how it happens since I don't get the product near my lips, etc. Small price to pay however.
One thing I wanted to clarify from the posts above is that I don't think that LifeCoach meant that there is a dedicated Obagi forum on EDS, rather that you can bring up Obagi posts that are on the EDS forum. I got confused initially as well and thought "how on earth did I miss an Obagi forum on here?!!". |

I don't experience the weird taste. I don't use clean on the lips but I do use it all around the lips. Mind you I am using a lip balm and that helps me so that I don't get any product on the lips at all and helps the corners of the mouth as well so it won't crack and go all dry. |

Thanks, lifecoach. I got it now.
Humm, I have never noticed a taste either. I will have to pay closer attention tomorrow.
Now that the first week and Chinese New Year is over, I'm going full-force on this. So far, except for some redness and very minor flaking, it hasn't been very bad at all. I will update as we go along.
YEAH to everyone who is on this and doing so well. |

I just started this line this week. I am going on a 7 night Caribbean cruise leaving Feb 28th. Should I stop using the NuDerm before I go or continue while on the cruise?? |

Sorry to interrupt the current users of Obagi, but from an experienced user () Chrissie, you should stop the Obagi before your cruise, use a great quality sunscreen and hats on your cruise, and then start back up when you return home! |

After using Obagi for 6 months, I went to the Maldives. I stopped using 2 days before I went because of the extremly hot temperatures out there.
I used factor 50 at all times just to be safe. |

Congratulations, London Girl. It does seem to work pretty fast doesn't it?
I'm curious if anyone is using the Obagi Professional C Serum along with their regiment? And if so, at what percentage? I'm wondering if incorporating it would enhances our result even more. |

Hello all. I started using Obagi on 1/11/09 under the direction of my derm. That week I had to travel to the DC area on business and it was soooo cold. I started having the same reactions that I've heard described here. I FREAKED when my face started breaking out and the wrinkles under my eyes increased my age by 20 years. I put in a call immediately to my derm. She told me to use hydrocortizone to help. I thought I was applying the products incorrectly until I found this forum today. Thank you all for your informative posts. Now I know that yes, I am suppose to apply the products under the eyes; and yes, it is normal to initially look 20 years older!!! |

OK, after I read through more posts I found Donna's advise about using the ZO Health Care product line to help during the transformation period. I have been afraid to use any thing else not wanting to negate the affects of the Nu Derm system. I just placed and order for the Exfoliating Polish and the Ommense Daily Renewal cream. It can't get here fast enough |
