Ok I ordered samples products from Lumiere like during the xmas period on the 24th to be exact. I think my Order was Shipped on 31st Dec 2008.
It is the 26th now - so about a month now and I have not received my items, maybe they have gone missing. I have never shopped with Lumiere before so I dont know how reliable they are with sending orders etc, but I think people here have shopped before? Should I wait longer? I am from New Zealand.
My fault is only that i decided to choose the cheapest shipping option (I know on the site it says they dont track this).
But I never had any problems with shipping i.e receiving orders using that particular shipping option from other sites including e-bay so I thought it was unlikely that I will not receive the order. This is my first order with Lumiere and personally I have never had to wait so long to receive my products from purchasing online from other sites. I live in NZ and the general shipping time to get orders here from USA/Canada/Europe is like 6-10 days, this is from my personal experience.
I have sent Lumiere an email using their website email box 2 weeks ago but never received any reply. Ok maybe that dint go through, so i sent another email about this this weekend and I will wait until next week to see if they reply back.
Please advise what can I do in this situation. I hate to think its money gone waste you know, especially during this low economy downtime so every dollar spent on anything is like very important. So what options do I have here?.
Should I um contact my local post office myself....But there is no tracking number of anything because of the shipping option I chose. Or is this job of the sender i.e Lumiere at their end?
Can I tell my credit card company to cancel the transaction? Can that be done even though the order was made a month ago? How would I go about doing this I have no idea?
thanks. |

That's wonderful simran. I have always found Kim to be very reputable and honest & I'm happy she is taking care of it for you! Lumiere makes some great MMU - the colors are the best I have found and the Veena Velvet is pure bliss. It blends right in with your skin. Be sure to spray with mineral water or blot with a damp sponge for a flawless face! |

hi i dint get the veena velvet because i thought that was for oiley skin types and i am normal-dry?
anyway i received my samples today........i wasnt too thrilled about it.......as they came in lil bags and i could see powder everywhere...so obviously there been some spill from the bags....i havent tried em yet maybe someother day when i have time but like i definatly prefer EDM samples as they come in cute lil containers which are great and you can take some out in the lid of it and use it......this ones gonna be a mess to try out from the bags each time
also i dont get is why we need to pay so much i.e 5 US dollars for shipping of samples if its being sent in a normal letter envelope! ?
and when i convert that too NZ dollars that cost me about 8-9 dollars. I know a normal letter to post from here to USA is like 2.50NZ dollars.
another reason why i like EDM, is they come in containers therefore need to be shipped in a bag other than an envelope and i can justify that paying the same amount for shipping price. |

Well that's a bummer! I would let Kim know that the powder had spilled out of the bags! I think there is an option of getting samples in bags or little jars, if I'm not getting it confused with Alima....
I am normal/dry too, but I like VeenaVelvet anyway, esp in the summer. It seems to absorb perspiration well and stays fresh-looking if I set it with mineral water.
I guess keep trying till you find the HG foundation!! I have tried 'em all it feels like! |
