As titled. I'm from Canada and plan to vist Vegas in April. My frd was saying it's better to buy some US currency in Canada first to spend in Vegas. She said that using credit card in a foreign country, the bank will charge u extra on top of the current exchange rate like some sort of service charges. She said that it does add up and make a difference. So yeah, just wanna know which method do u usually use? I just feel that it's easier and safer to use credit card but feel that I might save a bit if I use cash? hhm |

It may be worth shopping around to see if there's a credit card that's good to use with foreign currency.
In the UK, the Nationwide bank offer such a card. We have one and use it whenever we go abroad, or even when buying from international internet sites. |

You're very welcome, fawnie. I do hope you find something similar as credit card charges abroad can be such a rip off! |
