Has anyone managed to get IPL covered for rosacea? I just called my insurance company (ClaimSecure) and asked if IPL treatments are covered for rosacea with a letter of medical necessity. She said "No", and that's all the info I got. Is there any way to take it to a higher level or are these kind of decisions final? I have heard that some people have gotten coverage of IPL. I guess there chances are minimal that anyone here has dealt with ClaimSecure on this issue in Canada but I'm curious if I should persue this further or if it's a hopeless cause. |

You could call back and ask to speak to a manager/supervisor or ask what you need to do get it covered. I think most insurance companies wont cover it though because at the bottom line its considered cosmetic and they figure there are medications you can use instead. |
