aloe gel from lily of dessert is a pretty good aloe gel.it's cheap and gentle enough that doesn't irritate your eyes. I use it as a moisturizing mask . It always works pretty well.

So you put this aloe gel on your face and leave it on for a while then rinse off? Does that do anything for you? I have a bottle of 100% pure aloe gel. It was cheap too. I just don't know what to use it for. I don't remember why I bought it. Embarassed

I put it on my face and neck before i take a shower. Then after i finish my shower,i wipe off or wash offf the gel. This really hydrates my skin.

you have to be careful with the ingredients. through some research, this one does not contain something bad

I have to try this! I have a whole bottle of pure aloe vera gel. It'd be nice to put it to use. Thanks!

I do not know how to use Aloe Gel, cause this product is neither face cream nor a face serum.
Besides, when applying Aloe Gel onto skin, it turns dry immediatly, not feeling pretty good.

I've only ever used aloe gel for sunburn also but I just remembered that someone was telling me they swear by using a clear aloe gel as a teeth whitener. I haven't been brave enough to try putting that stuff in my mouth. Not sure how it would work as a whitener. Hmmm maybe I should do a google search and see if there's any truth to it.

it's really easy to grow aloe vera plants. my mother has one that's grown so big it reminds me of Audrey 2. when i was younger i put it on my mosquito bites or broke upon a tentacle and smooshed it on my leg or arm(haha sorry i'm takng my allusion to far don't want to scare y'all). I should do an experiment. hmm perhaps put it on one hand and see if it gets softer.

Love Aloe Vera. I use it for cuts, burns, mosquito bites, facial toner...what else. Pretty much whenever I have problems with my skin.

Not sure where you live, but in Canada I've found them at grocery stores that sell organic foods. I've seen them at drugstores, too, but they may contain artificial colour, etc.

Kandis from L2K recommended brushing the teeth with aloe vera gel. She swore that after a few days to a week, ones teeth would be whiter. I can't remember the brand of aloe vera she was recommending.

Lily of the Desert AV gel is one of my HG hair products! Great for reviving curls and smoothing frizzies. I don't think I've ever used it for skincare (I avoid sun exposure so I don't tan or burn usually).

I've had trouble finding topical aloe that is 100% pure.. even in healthfood stores. There's always dimethicone or something to keep it jellied, or a preservative, or added Vit E (which can be comedogenic).

In health food stores, they have the kind you ingest, but I have never bought it. I think that one is in fact 100% pure, but it's liquid, has no preservative, might go bad quicker.. you'd have to keep it in the fridge.
Anyone bought this?

One could also buy an aloe plant and use as needed, though it wouldn't be very pretty after a while, since they seem to grow so slow!

I drink this aloe juice everyday. It's good to build up alakine in the body.
I could never work out the difference between the different versions of the juice... there are juice, gel and inner fillets, etc

I like drinking it cold mixed into fruit juice. I also add Barley green powder or Wheat grass powder to it. I figure I don't eat enough green vegetables!
