I saw that Desitin has like 40% zinc oxide, so that should give tons of protection against the sun. I was thinking this would be good to use after a chemical peel. Am I crazy? Can Desitin be used on face? Or is it too strong? |

You'd better do not use it as a sunscreen.
Suncreen always has some professional ingredients to protect our skin from sun shine, UVA and UVB can not be defended by Desitin. |

Anyone else has an opinion about this? NOTCH? The cream is just so thick I feel it must be able to protect your skin from the UVs. |

I don't see why it wouldn't work as a physical block, since it is mainly zinc oxide. Isn't this an old trick of Aussie surfers--putting it on the nose? |

Yes, I think so. A teacher told me to put desitin on my kid's face one day but that was not for the sun. It was for a play. |

Yeah probably but I was thinking of using it to ensure maximum sun protection after I do a chemical peel. |
