Cetaphil aggravates me. (I think it contains sodium laurel sulfate, propylene glycol). I was using La roche posay toleraine but it doesnt get rid of physical sunscreen well, so i end up scrubbing it off with a washcloth which makes my skin more red than before. My favorite is L'occitane ultra calming cleansing milk but it is so expensive. Can anyone suggest a good and preferably cheap non foaming cleanser for sensitive skin? Drug store brands are ideal, as im trying to spend money on big ticket items and save in areas like cleansers and plain moisturizers. Thanks! |

Babor's Mild Cleanser. I have dry, sensitive skin. This works for me. I try others but keep coming back to this product. I couldn't use Cetaphil. My skin would break out. |

Give Cerave a try but I'm not sure how well it will remove SS. I only use in the morning. |

I use one from Essential Wholesale, the Green Tea Cleansing Milk. I add 5-6 drops of Geranium essential oil to it because I prefer a bit of fragrance. It dissolves makeup, sunscreen, and anything else, but leaves my skin soft. It's only $9 for 16 ounces, so it's a fantastic deal.

I had a good experience with La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Hydrating Cleansing Milk. It did a good job of removing all my makeup, including basic eye make up, and cleansed my skin nicely. It's a wipe-cleanser which is fairly moisturizing. Definitely needs a toner afterwards, though. |

I always do not think milky cleanser can clean my skin deeply. Philosophy Make in Simple has little bubble, and therefore like milky cleanser. This product could even remove light makeup by the only cleansing step. |

Jurlique cleansing lotion is nice to use and effective and Dr Hauska is also nice. Both are very natural and don't strip the skin. |

Try Avene gentle cleanser or Ponds cold cream - but I am not sure whether they contain SLS. |

Borghese Kirkland Signature Pure Moisturizing Cleanser is a great cleanser that remove all my makeup, leaves my skin clean and super soft without drying my skin.
It has a creamy texture and feels a bit like Cetaphil when you put on your face, but certainly 100x better !!! |

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Does anyone use any drugstore products? I wonder how Dove and Nivea cleansers compare to higher end ones? Does anyone use a cheap cleanser that impresses you?
I wish I could find Cerave in Canada. I will buy it next time i am in the states. Ordering online and paying 10 dollars to ship it defeats the purpose |

Dr Hauschka Cleansing Milk is not artificially fragranced like so many others. It feels pure and gentle. I follow it with the Toner and it leaves my skin clean but soft and clear. Why scrimp on any products, especially when you need so few if you chose the best ones!
If you haven't done your seasonal Rhythmic Night Conditioner tune-up, now is the time!!! |
