I just had upper eyelid surgery and fillers put in. I have a little bruises. What would help hide them? |

You should take Arnica Montana to help rid the bruises. Go to Whole Foods or order it from Vitacost or other healthfood or vitamin stores. I think I bought the 30x strength. Then to hide the bruises, I'd imagine any good foundation and eye shadows should do the trick. Arnica should help get rid of the bruises in a few days if you follow the recommended dosage directions. |

Thanks-I actually did the Arnica. My bruising isn't too bad, but I need a good cover for the little that I have. |

Dermablend is a foundation designed for extreme coverage needs--tattoos, port wine stains, etc. If it can't cover, nothing will. You might need to be pretty aggressive in getting it off, though, which might be uncomfortable post surgery.
Short of Dermablend, I think Jane Iredale mineral makeup was originally recommended by derms for post-surgery wear. I would guess most mineral makeups would help and be easy to get off. |

Janie, what color is your bruise? Can't you use the same eyeshadow color or similar or just the dark color one to blend the bruise in? I hope it goes away soon. Past experience with bruises tells me it goes away in a week or two. Hang in there. |

The best thing I've found for red bruises is Diane Young's red neutralizer. Comes in a little pot and you apply with a brush to thin it out over the bruise. Only in one color, but it surprisingly works on many skin colors, plus you could always top it off with your regular foundation. It's only sold at Diane Young in NYC or sometimes QVC has some of her products, so I don't know if you can wait the few days for it to arrive! |

Unfortunately, they are very purple... I am trying Dermablend, but it is very hard to match a good color. Thanks! |

Janie, you are right about Dermablend and color matching. It is a heavy duty concealing makeup but it is by no means cosmetically elegant. Have you thought about wearing large sunglasses for a few days till the bruises fade down enough to be covered with ordinary makeup? |

Funny! That's exactly what my hubby said! I did just get a pretty new pair... Thanks! |
