Teabags, I have never heard of either of those methods for lightening marks before. How much turmeric do you use? Do you premix it into your cleanser, or just add it each time? Where do you get the oil? I've never heard of it. And just out of curiosity, how did you find out about these methods? TIA for your reply. |
Hi Marnie
I heard about both of these from threads on EDS - a mine of useful information this place!
I know you can buy a commercial "turmeric cream" but don't know what brands, sorry. I just put a little bit of my cleanser into my hand, shake out a little turmeric (about half a teaspoon?), mix it all together and then use it as a normal cleanser. it's cheap and effective. i would suggest another normal cleanse afterwards to remove every trace of the turmeric as it goes yellow! i use daily microfoliant afterwards anyway, which seems to do the job well.
I'd also never heard of tamanu oil before joining this site. I'm in UK and could only get it online but i think it will be pretty easily available in the USA. I'd try a toiletry-making or aromatherapy website.
If you want more info, i'd try to search the threads - there's a couple about turmeric. The one about tamanu oil if i remember correctly is in the Product Review section and is entitled "Josie something Argan oil".
